I don't recall such problems. Then again, the one time I did remove one I took the propane tanks off first. Is this possible? I have an M18 but as far as I remember it is the same setup up front.
If it goes below freezing only at night, and stays reasonably warm (40-50) during the day it wont be enough to freeze your tanks. Having the furnace and water heater on will also help. One way to calculate this is average the low and high temp for the day, if the average is above freezing...
Forgot to mention, it reccomends the use at or under 8 degrees celcius/ 46 farenheit. The reason Im inquiring is because I will be camping at temperatures well under that in about a month and was wondering if anyone could give insight into that. It will probably be lows in the teens farenheit.
This is the manual, see page 21:

If you listen to what theyre saying, the trailer was already swaying and the guy was sure it would go so he started taping it. As a matter of fact you can see the trailer swaying long before it turns over. You cant fake that...
I posted these modification threads in the modification section, but they were made to my Edge M18 so I figured some of you might be able to use them.
Replacing analog furnace thermostat for digital...
Find a good ground and connect your new ground wire there. For this install, I used the main neg connection on the panel. You don't have to do this if you are installing the converter elsewhere and can ground to the frame ect.
Put the converter body back the way it was and replace the front...
3) Locate your fuse panel and remove the cover. In this case it has two screws near the top that stay attached to the faceplate after you undo them.
4) There will be four more screws holding the body of the inverter/panel housing to the wall. Unscrew those and pull the whole unit out...
This is a very simple upgrade that allows you to watch tv, and use/charge electronics while dry camping. This will work for many kinds of inverters, but I chose a 400w because I will only be using it for electronics and this is plenty. The Jensen flatscreen that comes with the Edge only needs...
4) Thread wires through new wall plate and screw wall plate to wall.
5) Connect your wires to the corresponding terminals. In this case, the W and the RH (leaving the jumper to the RC in place). I only used electrical tape because the factory installer had over-stripped the wires and I...
Although this is a very simple upgrade, I figured I would post some pictures and a brief how to guide. Note: This particular install only controls the furnace, as my Edge M18 does not have a wall mount thermostat for the air conditioner.
BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING: Make sure that you are not...
Re: Fed up with heartland
For what it's worth (I don't know if all dealers are in this system), my service rep at the dealer told me all warranty repairs and claims now HAVE to be input and sent to Heartland through an online computerized program. Everything gets approved or declined the same...
Just got around to reading the refrigerator manual and it says to use the winter covers below a certain temp. Did anone's Edge come with these? Did I get jipped or is this something I need to buy separately?
Found a website selling the old style states map with the solid colors. I had given up on even looking as it seemed no one made these anymore. Seems an RV'ing family with a sign shop heard the same complaint over and over, and decided to start making it. Here's the link...
Found this video and my blood ran cold when I saw it. Looks like no one was hurt but its a good reminder of the dangers involved in towing trailers. Also a good reminder that even a heavy dually can be thrown around like a rag doll. Be safe out there.
Well in reality there's less of a chance of you being the target (although they do take nicer trucks/SUVs to be put into their "fleet" at the narco checkpoints) and more of a chance of being in the wrong place at the wrong time when they decide to turn the sleepy resort town into Fallujah...
I understand wanting to have peace of mind. However, how would you know that you have been sway free because of the WDH if you didn't test it without? I can truly say I have been sway-free over long and short hauls, freeway, mountains, desert, ect. and do not have a WDH. Then again, my M18...
Things are not looking good security wise in and near Tecate lately, and neither for beach towns in Baja for that matter. You could not pay me enough money to go down there even in a rented and fully insured rig. To each their own but be safe and see about traveling with other rigs in...
Yes, mine gets all kinds of attention too when we're out and about. It's rare for smaller trailers to have so many nice features. Then again, that probably cut on the profits and is exactly why its being discontinued. Who knows. All I know is that I am dissapointed and disillusioned with...
Ok, I'll say it. If you are planning on full timing you probably wont be able to fit everything in an MPG. Depends what you call full timing and depends on how much stuff you plan on taking with you. I'd reccomend an Edge but they just discontinued it. Seems to me you would generally need...
Rotate it 180 degrees ( the reese sticker facing the trailer) the u shape lock bar will not go over the center of the coupler but it will lock to the nose of it.
I just double checked on that. The clip is shaped so that part of it wraps around the underside of the fins. It cannot be clipped further up. However, I am able to slide the thermistor up inside the sleeve in the clip. Would that be enough to make any difference?
I have read about the thermistor before but I have a question. Do you slide the actual thermistor up on its sleeve (in the clip) or do you move the clip higher up on the fin?
The manual says to randomly do that, or is there a certain troubleshooting item you are looking for that we can help you with? If you just randomly found that in the manual, then I would venture to say it may have already been done by the installers. If you are having an issue that you are...
That product I posted is a shower curtain, not the rod. It has an embedded hard plastic piece around elbow height with a hook and string. You pull the string and hook it to the wall. It gives you plenty of room to move around without feeling claustrophobic. It has worked great for my M18.
Sorry for the basic nature of the question but when troubleshooting you cant assume anything. The tank valve was closed right? Also, did you have plenty of water and deodorizer in the tank? I can only assume that if this only happens when flushing there are no leaks in the venting, so...
If its just the trim then theres no way the tire would touch that as it is offset to the side of the well. Unless I am not getting the picture here I dont understand the concern.
There are people that have and will post on every thread they can find about the problems they had. A lot of times it is the same person with the same problem but you read about it in five different threads. Satisfied people dont do that. I agree that in these forums there is a...
