Pics of the Torq-Lift steps. Comes all put together, host have to remove old steps and put in new ones. Only pic I have of them fully extended is a video, but being computer illiterate, don't know how to upload a video. Go figure! LOL !
Also, they are a bit hefty to lift while installing. I think I placed them onto some wood blocking and a floor jack to lift them up/high enough to put bolts in. May require taking some skirting screws off to gain access to 1 or 2 bolts. Had to get a shorter bolt or 2 cuz of clearance w/ step...
I vote for the Torq- Lift steps. Replaced the orig 4 bouncy steps w/ them and love them. No dirt goes inside of coach which can be a issue w/ the Mor-Ryde ones. Took a little to install, but worth it.
My wife hates me, but we still put blocks under the legs just to limit the distance the legs travel.. BUT we don't have to place boards under the tires!!! Once blocks are under the legs, hit Auto-Level and within a minute and half or so......woooooohla..........done!
After reading the replies, I went ahead and ordered thru Amazon the Zero G 25' and it just came today. 1st time w/ it won't be till next month, BUT THANK YOU for the suggestion!!
What's the best fresh water hose to use that doesn't kink up and coils easily? I bought 2 new Camco hoses from our old dealer last spring to replace our orig '05 hoses. These things are a PITA to coil up, seem to take up a lot of space in bin (25' and 50') so was just wondering if there is...
I saw sometime ago that the RR leg of the 6 pt level up on our 3560SS Big Country was wet/maybe leaking but didn't seem to be to concerned about it. Upon taking it out of storage, it was the only leg that was down a cple of inches. Took to our old RV dealer for wheel bearing service and when I...
I've used liquid Spic-N-Span and a mop. Do say 3'-4' section at a time, rinse off, wet next section, repeat. Some say you can use a pressure washer, but to keep the tip in a wide pattern and NOT pencil tip. Used a protectorant 1x, but otherwise just washed the roof cple times/yr.
The orig roof is a tan color and not 100% white, so I should be ok there. Will chat w/ DD again and check with them just to make sure we are on same page.
Hmmmmm, never gave the skylight a thought. Will mention to the wife and see what she thinks. With the 3560SS there are only 3 windows for...
Good morning ! So have an app't made for July in York, PA. Yes DE could save a cple bucks, but York is a straight shot down 81 for me. After I spoke w/ the young lady from Double Dueces, she said since my 1st quote prices went up some and if I pay over the phone w/a credit card it's a cple bucks...
Pulled the BC out of storage last week and dropped off to old dealer for wheel bearing service. I knew they lil dudes got into it last week, but didn't really look closely. Brought her home today and opened it up. Sadly, will have to remove everything from the front compartment and basement and...
We started off in a 35' 5er bunkhouse w/ 2 adults and 2 kids. After they grew up and left, wife/I went to a 41' 5er. Most folks would say it should've been the other way around. We love the extra room tho it does present challenges if we want to visit any state or national parks. Plus take into...
I cannot answer this question directly cuz the wife is chief user of it, but from what I gather the Furrion stoves are junk. Insignia's are much better. Shoot,, the micro, tv's and A/C's are branded Furious as well. Fridge is Norcold.
In past cple of years, have replaced the check valve for hot water tank, water pump and 4 way A-valve (replaced it w/ the brass one from Anderson). Crap happens. Biggest PITA is taking everything out of the basement, removing panels and then stuffing my LA into the basement to fix things. Only...
There's no VIN anywheres you can see? Should be a sticker on LF outside corner, perhaps even stamped into frame or as cookie pointed out above. Do you have the reg for it? If you have the reg or see anything w/ the VIN, then contact HL to see if they can help you.
Has anyone seen the video yet from Big Truck Big RV on his series on Lippert and especially the one on what Lippert/Curt (?) maybe offering soon regarding a coil spring and shock pinbox? Yes it will aid in the jarring compared to a std one, but for my money, I'd still rather have a air bag just...
I'm on board with the others above on having a checklist and TAKE your sweet 'ol time going thru everything. Do NOT hand over any final monies until your satisfied.
In regards to the 2 posters who purchased from Couches, the same can be said about General RV as well based on stories of Alliance...
Dear Sir,
Why are there no or very few and far between Heartland dealers that carry Big Horn, Big Country lines? Here in Central NY, there are hardly any dealers that do.
Thank you for your reply to main question.
You can look up the specs for this online. Has to be 13'6" or less. What are you towing it with? Like rhodies said above, go w/ the B&W one rated for the weight or the biggest one they offer. Remember you should have at least 6" of clearance between top of box and underside of RV. The B&W is...
Question came up on my FB page where a poster has a '18 BC 3560SS and when they put the bed slide out from the huge wall slide, it comes right back in. Any suggestions? We have the same unit and never had that happen.
Hmmmmmmmmmm from CNY ! Will let ya know. Wife has a former co-worker who lives ESE of Dallas who she hasn't seen in a couple of years or so. IF we do attend, would probly arrive the Sunday before and leave the next Fri. 2 to 2.5 day trip one way.
I've got 2 places according to their website to go to and each is approx 5-6 hr drive 1 way. 1 place I'd have to pay tolls, the other no. LOL. Coach was built in '17 as a '18 model so going on 7 years old if you will. Yes we look at new RV's but then come back to ours and say, it's not too bad...
In Heartlands line of top to bottom: Landmark, Big Horn, Big Country. The Traveller is sub line (lower food chain) for the Big Horn. IMO, the Big Country is above the Traveller. I very well could be wrong, but we've been very happy w/ our '18 Big Country. We came from a '06 Silverback which we...
Not being a naysayer, but based on all what was written, why did this unit get purchased in the 1st place if all these items were wrong? Was told many years ago that don't buy something that isn't to your liking and say "we'll make it work" but rather get something that fits the bill 100%.
FWIW, the 2 tv's in our BC are Furrion branded. LR scans fast, but picture is a tad snowy. BR scans slow but is crystal clear. Like Dans above, we too have 2 separate connection.
Another option too is to place charcoal briquettes onto/in alum pans and place in a couple spots in coach w/ things closed up to aid in moisture absorption. I do this as too much dust gets kicked up by owner of storage place , so keeping vents open isn't a option.
