Re: More New Members-Texas-West chapter
thank you for the welcome- we look forward to meeting you. we are full timers and hope to get in the area next year.
take care
the guides are supposed to have a locking mechanism on them- ours have failed, at least it will stay shut when we travel.
when were in Elkhart I went over to my friends wood shop and made two blocks for each end of the desk to keep it open until the factory can send me the correct guides.
I use...
hi- when we looked at the camper the computer desk pullout above the fireplace would pull out and stay in the open position.
after we got the camper the left side would stay out and the right would go in, had the dealer look at it and now both sides won't stay out in the extended position
was...
we have the safe and it is nice for misc items. for the important stuff I have a fireproof safe- I hope. LOL
as said above shop the Dyson.
we had two folding dinette chairs and decided we would not need them so we gave them to my MIL.
hopefully the dealer will come through, at least try to get...
we really like our big windows- it was a selling point for me. we down sized quite a bit and really don't need the extra cabinet space- the windows are nice and makes the camper feel open
I would also think long term- are you going to get a bigger camper in the next few years?
when I went from a 1500 to a 2500 gasser I should've gone to a diesel because I knew we would end up with a fifth wheel down the road (LOL)
following the thread- has anyone looked in the return air to make sure it is sized correctly?
we have 4 reruns in the living room and 2 in the bedroom
going to check out my units to see what I can find and then apply a few of the fixes mentioned
we have the truck and want to keep it for 8-10 years. I think I will do the 50.00 deductible. we have state farm so a esp with geico won't work- but that is good to know about. thanks
it will be the Ford ESP
Hi
I've decided to get the Ford ESP warranty on my truck - just not sure which deductible to get.
100.00
50.00 deductible is 195 more than the 100
0.00 deductible is 595 more than the 100
going to get the 8 year 125000 mile one
any thoughts?
thanks- Steve
thanks for all the info- now the fun part.... looks like friday will be good day to wash the camper. I like the idea of the waterless wash and wax- as we also full time
this is who I ordered my parts from, very nice and helpful

choices to be made!
spent a few months in the Lafayette area and I got to admit I really like cajun food and the Bayou Teche Brewery.... haven't been to Texas yet, hopefully this fall we will get to San Antonio
we are full timers and are looking into joining the HOC. out domicile state is South Dakota- I didn't see a chapter for SD- not sure which state to claim as ours.
any suggestions from other full timers. our residence was in Indiana but I don't want to register there.
thanks
I did the hitch myself in about 30 minutes- it fit in nicely.
the camera went even easier- there was a mount already and all had to do was unscrew the existing cover, plug in the camera and screw it into the mount.
I plugged in the camera and the image showed up with no issues.
our dog does the same thing- never sits or lays down and she gets the whole back seat! I told my DW that I might put my fitbit on her. she weighs about 25 pounds. the first year when we had the motorhome she would pace after that she would lay on the floor and sleep, maybe after a year she will...
I ordered the camera on Monday from Walmart.com- got it today. very easy install, plugged the camera into the truck and the rear image showed up.
it works even when the truck is not hooked up to the trailer.
thanks
I want to get a rear view camera (one that is on all the time - not back up only) I checked with Furrion and they said I need to find out if my camper is wired to the clearance lights too. they have a model that will work FOS48TAPK-BL. has anyone used this camera or know how I can check to see...
installed my 50 amp EMS-LCHW50 surge protector, vent covers on both fantastic fans and vacuumed out the basement area where all the wires and plumbing is. isolated all the water lines that vibrated. still need to do something to the water pump. been wanting to get these projects done for a while...
hi-
I have a small pull out plastic drawer that I would like to attach to the basement ceiling. I only need to use a 3/4" long screw. do you see nay issues with this?
thanks - Steve
we are here for the next month or so until we head north. we spend time at my MIL's - she has a place to park with electric. every 8-10 days we go to a campground to dump the black tank. we like to spend 3 days at the park when we do that. next weekend the riverside rv park in North Little Rock...
thanks for the info- I read in the manual about a test kit, I don't mind having a dealer do it, just like to be able to cross it off the list when it comes up. my last camper was a diesel pusher and I had all the test strips and would check it every 6 months.
correct on the timed message- I read its about 600 hours. I just purchased it and hopefully the dealer checked it when they did the service on it. I was curious if I could get the test strips or kit as the dealer was unaware of any.
thanks for all the info- the first tow went great. did 85 miles to the campground on I 49 from Lafayette to Woodworth, LA.
our plan is to stop at my MIL's in North Little Rock and get rid of a few things and then find a scale to get weighed.
this my second try at backing into a site -first time...
thanks for the info- I did mean the truck tires- sorry for any confusion
I do plan on getting my set up weighed, any suggestions on where to find a place?
