Broken actuator now leaking all over floor

Thanks David. Today I got the pedal off without removing the whole unit, and was able to re-insert the water valve with no leaks, so the water is back on. I have only seen whole kits for the vacuum ball assembly, not just the drive arm, which is all I need. Will talk to the local van place...

Broken actuator now leaking all over floor

Gotta love You-Tube instructional videos. I found one about replacing all those parts and that showed me what's happened. The lug on the waste ball drive arm is what broke off this morning. I was playing with the water valve assembly and accidentally stupidly rotated it and it un-clipped...

Broken actuator now leaking all over floor

Hi David, the hose hasn't pulled loose. It is something in the valve assembly operated by the foot pedal. It will have to be replaced to actuate the ball flush anyway. The water problem was caused by me fiddling around with part of that mechanism...

Broken actuator now leaking all over floor

I noticed in an older thread a reply mentioned installing a cut-off valve. I was quietly hoping things may have changed. I will have to go into town tomorrow and get one - or a bung at least - and see if I can order parts from the local van centre. I have already talked to them and Dometic are...

Broken actuator now leaking all over floor

Hi, this morning a small piece of plastic broke off at the back of the foot pedal and the ball flush wouldn't operate. The water still worked. This afternoon I was trying to see if I could manually activate the ball and suddenly water started gushing out. Turned off the pump, but of course now...

Van using a lot of Power

Hi Bogie, yes I have been wanting a clamp meter for a while. It is true there is a small draw from any inverter when idle but nowhere near what we are seeing here.

Van using a lot of Power

The solar batteries are 2 x 48V 3.3KWH LiFePO4 in parallel. The system is basically brand new. There are 16 x 385 or 400W panels on a separate standalone roof. The solar system has a Victron Quattro II 5KVA 230V inverter and MPPT 250 | 100 - Tr VE.Can charger. The solar system is connected to...

Van using a lot of Power

I should have mentioned, we have 230V mains and the van has had some outlets changed to our type. There is still 110V at the original outlets. I am guessing there is a converter that drops the voltage to 110V. I wonder if that converter may be quite inefficient. Also, correct me if I am wrong...

Van using a lot of Power

Hi, we have a van (North Trail 27BHDS) connected to an external solar system with 6.6KWH of batteries. The van is pretty much draining those batteries from when the sun drops until it is up enough to start charging again. I have tried running the fridge on LP overnight and that helps but there...
