We just installed a Splendide 2100 washer/dryer and we love it. We don't have to pack as many towels and sheets on a long trip. It works great! Check out their web: http://www.splendide.com/
The college in our area has an RV Tech class at the Bill Plemmons RV World dealership. The students installed it as part of their training. I asked one of the partners at Heartland about where to drill the vent outlet and the factory faxed me a schematic with exact measurements for the hole location. It was painless for me! I imagine I could have installed it although the unit weighs just over 160 pounds so I would need some help placing it. I have a rule that I live by: When I turned 50 I no lifty.
The washer is strapped down with a ratchet strap. I've towed the trailer since the instalation and it dosn't move. If it were going to shift or move around it would do so during the spin cycle.
Yes, I do have a drip pan under the Splendide. The hose actually exits into the dryer vent so that you do not see it unless you look into the vent cover.
