We use Skype when our Daughter was in Italy in January, and it was surprisely clear.
This can be a great deal. I'm going to talk the Verison, I have an upgrade coming up, my old Moto phone may get an upgraded.

But you can also (if I read it correctly) use your PC/laptop to call a Verison phone.

I have a Wireless Skype phone from Linksys. All I have to do is find a WiFi or run off my MBR1000 router. I pay $24/year to call any number in Canada and the US.

I use my Skype phone to make calls when my AT&T phone has no signal.

One thing to know. Some campgrounds don't like us to use Skype on their networks. They take up bandwidth.
