  2. New Hitch

About to bite the bullet on a new hitch. It is the Mountain Master air ride 18000lb. Looks like a real well made and thought out hitch. I like that it has the forward and aft. cushion as well as the vertical. Not cheap but the BH ant ether so maybe it will save it on these bad roads. Any one know...

  4. Where do you store your companion...

As a contractor I use my pick-up so after trips I generally remove my 5th wheel, being that my Sundance is the only fiver I have. This makes sense. However due to weight and size, I haven't found a good place to store my Companion. Currently its hanging from the pin box, which I don't see a...

  5. Problem Hitching Up with Reese Hitch

So I was hitching up tonight so we could leave early tomorrow morning, and had a problem getting the jaw closed all the way around the king pin. Normally I would just back in with the hitch open, and it would snap shut. I have a Reese 18K Signature Series hitch. Tonight the jaw would only go...

  6. Which air ride pin box

I have a 2009 Sundance 3300RLB. First I need to determine what model pin box I have. I cannot find the model number. Then I need to find an air ride pin box, Trail Air or 5th Airborne, will work best. It has to be the same length since I have a short bed and not slider hitch. I can make 90...

  8. Need 1/8" thick Teflon fifth wheel lube disc supplier name

I have been unsuccessful in locating a supplier for a 1/8" thick Teflon lube disc for my hitch fifth wheel. I've searched Google, Amazon, eBay and a general web search. I've called hitch installers etc. I got my original one from Hensley Mfg. (The Hensley TS3 requires a 1/8" thick disc NOT a...

  9. 32 buds with Hensley Arrow

My wife and I are new to Heartland. We just ordered our 32Buds. We were concerned about trailer sway so we also purchased a Hensley Arrow to tow with. Has any one here experienced towing using a Hensley? We watched a video but thought we would get the opinion of others. We are very anxious to get...

  10. Cyclone, Short Bed and Non-Slider Hitch

Just bought a 2010 Cyclone 3850 and pull it with a 2009 Dodge 2500 Mega Cab. There was some doubt in the industry as to whether a slider hitch was necessary with the short bed. The answer is emphatically "No". My Mega Cab has a 6'3" bed and with the Cylone attached to a Reese 24K Signature...

  11. Pin box swap Trailair to Lippert 1621HD

I have a NBS (new body style) Chevy and the Trailair M15 pin box is too short. The Trailair L15 is too long, so I went back to a stock Lippert 1621HD pin box; I’m now a happy camper. This is not a job for everyone, it was hard and involved heavy "stuff". Here are some pics of my Pull-Rite 18K...

  12. Installing the Lippert 1621HD pin box and plastic cover install

Here are some pics of my TrailAir M15 pin box morphing into a Lippert 1621HD w/ plastic shroud (most owners go the other way). It’s a lot more streamlined now so I expect to reduce my fuel burn (yeah right, lol). The TrailAir is a nice pin box but it is shorter than the 1621HD and the geometry is...

  14. Hensley TS3 Double Air Bag Hitch with the 5th Airborne Hitch Pin Box

Ok gang, I have the Mor/Ryde Pin Box, but also have a brand new Hensley Trailersaver 2 air bag TS3 hitch, SAWEET! I definitely think that the Mor/Ryde Pin Box is OK, but not great. If I bought the 5th Airborne Pin Box, I would have air bags for both the hitch and the pin box. Is that...

  15. RV to TV Clearance Problem/s solved

You guys may recall I had an issue with the TV & RV being too close, just a little too cozy for me. I had some concerns that the RV would get damaged sooner or later. Well they are now seperated and a lawyer was not involved. Here are the final results pics. I am going to post 2 more threads (Pin...

  16. What's the best hitch

This is my first post so please bear with me. I just bought a 2006 BH 3400RL and my tv is a 2006 F250 6.0 Powerstroke 10,000 gvw long bed. I'm woundering witch hitch to buy. My dealer said the 15k Reese pro series is good enough. Is this right or do I need something better or different?

  17. 5th Airborne vs. Moryde (A Review)

Back in April we went to Moro Bay, Ca for spring break. I had never really noticed but my wife said the chucking was really starting to bother her. We have some pretty bad roads in California. I should mention this is on a 2010 Cyclone 3010. So without doing any research(unlike me) I get on the...

  18. Trail Air pin

I hauled my Bighorn 3055RL with the trail Air pin I had installed. Combined with the Equa Flex suspension nothing moved in my rig. My travelling buddie's trailer is hard hitched and when we arrived they had stuff bounced around pretty good. I am pleased and impressed. Money well spent in my...

  19. Unhappy Serious Chucking from 5th Wheel

I just picked up my Cyclone 3950 yesterday and it really is chocking pretty bad. I have a Curt 20k hitch in my 2008 Ford F350 Dually, 6.4L Diesel. Is there a way to stop the chocking?
