Thank you for the suggestion. I see a number of people use a separate gas powered cook unit as either a back up or when they occasionally need a third element. I think that would answer my needs.
Again thank you
Happy camping
I swear I "searched" for induction cooktop" before posting my question. Honest. I probably mistype some part. After posting I did find a number of related posts. Looks like (if it is the same unit used in the Landmarks in 2014) that it is an 1800W, 120v unit. A True Induction S2F2 unit...
We are looking at a Big Horn 3160 and see there is an option for an Induction Cooktop. My wife really likes the idea. I am not so sure, but guess who does the cooking and more importantly has the final say?. We expect to be hooked up to shore power most of the time, but I do not...
Jeff, Thank you for the information. I was wondering about clearance myself. I see from your sig that you have a SRW 2017 F-350 also. Did you try towing (or hooking up) with out the air bags? Do you have any idea how much the truck squats when you hook up? Do you know what your pin weight...
I do not have a 5r (yet ) so can not answer about clearance. I am surprised at the amount of rake (tilt from front to back) in the truck when it is unloaded. The rail height is two inches taller in the rear (tailgate) then the front (behind cab) of the bed unloaded. I suspect the...
Hello Sandy. That would be great information. I look forward to seeing the numbers, and your description of how the trailer is configured/load is prefect. Thank you for your help.
My wife and I are thinking of getting a 5r in a year or so and the Big Horn 3160EL is on our short list (list of 2 :)). Can anyone provide real world, ready to camp pin weights (not dry weights or as delivered)?
Ideally I would like to see both Kingpin and either trailer axles or gross...
Thank you for the update. Now I know it is part of the SAE standard and includes both a a driver AND passenger. Does this apply to the payload rating also? Or just the towing calculations.
Well, I looked (at the 2018 Tow Selector Guide). Some very general towing information, but it is really just for the 2018 Transit Connect. Nothing about any of the 2018 pickups.
I was having a hard time finding detailed and accurate information when I purchased my truck. That is why I posted the above info, hopefully to help others make an informed decision. I hope others will feel free to add their specific information. Ford's technical specifications (at least in...
I did not see this specific information, so thought I would post the particulars for my truck. If there is an existing thread that this would fit in please let me know.
I just took delivery of my new truck (description below). Love it, but it is like driving a smart phone. More bells...
I too am disappointed in Ford not disclosing that the "Blind Spot for trailers" only works for tag trailers in their marketing information. I suspect the reason they disable it for 5th wheel and gooseneck trailers is the front of these trailers sit closer to the sensor (in the rear tail light)...
