3. as long as unit lays flat on it's back it runs continuously...
In getting prepared for our trip I hooked up city water to make sure no leaks and run water thru system. First I had put some clorox in the fresh water tank and filled it up and let it set for 48 hours.
Today I hooked up city water to flush the lines out. last thing i checked was the...

After 29 years Bank of America decided to put me to the curb. It wasn't exactly what I was planning because I turn 59 April 20 but wanted to retire when I reached 60.
I was noticing my passenger slide was sagging and went down below and found the following. The braces underneath were micky mouse rigged and I had to beef them up a bit. So I went to Lowe's and bought some 1/8 angle iron and braced it up . No more sagging!
Ok, I have search the internet trying to find a wiper seal for the bedroom slide out that is 2 1/4 wide and have had no success. Mine is torn at the very top on the front and rear of the bedroom and I have countless times used the recommended slide seal conditioner. On the these same corners...
Was successful in building the baffle for the top vent as well as putting a new hose on the drain. Fans inside that were bought off ebay work nicely. There were 3 wires on my light and I wired only to the one side with a red wire. I did not have to use the black wire at all because the fans...
After reading several posts on water damage and slides I went out and checked mine and lo and behold I have water damage on the lr slide near the entrance door.

Heading from Jacksonville , Fl to Dillard, Ga, we had an uneventful trip. Temperature was in the high 80’s, truck
pulling just fine. After we crossed over i-85 in northern Georgia just south of Toccoa Falls, we began our hill
climbing on US17N, heading towards US441 to...
Ran into a few issues but was successful in running these lights. The 3m backing tape didn't seem to do as good of a job as I thought it should have and I had to use another adhesive to get them to stick. Got my idea from all the posters on here. Going out soon and seeing what they look like.
Rear cap near ladder has cracks in it.
They are really oxidizing a lot! I wax twice a year and each time the oxidation seem to be getting worse.
Did they build these with no UV protection or what?
It is a 2010 BH 3585RL.
Was wondering why the slide with the fridge kept blowing fuses.
Found the problem.
At the rear end of the slide someone put metal behind the wiper seal and the wiper seal cut into the positive(12 volt) side of the wire.
I took out the piece of metal and recaulked everything plus spliced the...
Ok in ,y BH I mounted a swivel arm tv mount and I'm not real happy with it. We recently went to Daytona RV rally and I noticed a lot of 5th wheel tv's in the bedroom was mounted on the wall. The issue we have with ours is laying in bed the tv has a weird picture unless we point it down.

Today I moved the 5th wheel and water gushed out from underneath.
I got the 5ver back where it was parked and began looking around.
The under material holding up the insulation and such had a big bulge in it over the axles. I pushed up on it and sure nuff water went to the sides and came out...
I've been battling a leak issue and have done everything I can think of to stop this annoying leak.
Today I was cleaning teh BH and found what may be a problem. My BH is a 2011 and I hope warranty covers this because they had already replaced the living slide out wiper seals because they...
I got to tell ya, it is very hard to determine where rain water is coming in.
On our door side slide out, all the way to the rear left, we have had wet carpet under the couch. I thought I found where it was coming in but after sealing what I thought it was, it got wet again after a good rain...
In our BigHorn I added lighting in the closet where the washer/dryer go and another light in the closet so I can see when it is dark. and a light inside the cabinet above the table. It is amazing how few lights we really have and there placement.
I bought the single blade switch lights that...
After a couple of weeks of the pump kicking the breaker I decided to take the unit in for a look see. My warranty would run out 12/4/12 and the service advisor said to get it to them immediately so they could cover it under warranty.
After the diagnostics, Lippert is having to replace the...

Were getting around 9 mpg until we hit some serious hills on I-40 heading west to Maggie Valley. THE LOM said 8.4 mpg at this point.
180 bucks in fuel was estimating 240!
Great campground here at Creekfront Farm Rv north of...
We finally took our Bighorn on a trip after having it since 12/2010 and are taking notes on what we find.

2. Bedroom slide at home went in just fine but when set up in RV park it struggled going out?
3. Slide...

I tell ya, I have gone over this unit with a fine tooth comb now and will list the defects and/or improvements.
The wiper seal on top of the living room Driver side slide out was not caulked properly and had started to come out of the d-rail. I took it to the dealer and they installed a new...
We recently had Dishnetwork installed in the house and it is a vip722k DVR receiver.
I for the life of me could not get this to work in the 5th wheel.
I can hear the dish on top move around like it is locking in, but nothing comes upp on the tv screen.
Furthermore, I have no clue how this...
We were looking for an ice maker/machine that we could get a little more ice in our camper. Well, after careful review and consideration we went with the NewAir AI-130S Portable Clear Ice Maker, This ice machine is awesome. Makes ice every 7-10 minutes!

Routinely I go out to our 5ver and check it out whether we use it or not. We bought it brand new last december so we have had it for a little over 5 months. The slides were all in as it was parked beside our house.
I washed the outside the other day and today decided to go inside run the ac...
We have the BH 3585rl and recently the dealer installed a new 42 inch Sharp TV. Well after getting it home, I can for the life of me, get the surround speakers to work when TV is on air or cable. That not being my biggest issue, the biggest issue is I can't move the tv off the wall to put an...
Ok, I Give up.
We just bought our new Big Horn 3595rl and I have not seen the ice maker make any ice yet.
So I took it in for a few minor things, one being the ice maker and after picking it up I was assured the ice maker worked. Well, says who? Also the dealer told me that the fridge was not...
