    Inside Steps Handrail

I was in a accident a year ago and needed a hand rail! Without one, husband stood in front of me and I grabbed his back for support. That is one thing I am looking at for next 5th wheel. I am actually quite surprised that a manufacture hasn't come up with one yet, as there are so many elderly...

Suburban furnace going thru sail switches

Can someone tell me why my furnace is going thru sail switches??? We always carry a spare. It seems as soon as we move 5th wheel, 1st night out we have to replace the sail switch. Sometimes it only lasts 1 night. The first sail switch lasted a couple of years, but now every time out!! We camp...

    Carpet

I found some construction grade sticky clear plastic. Vacuum first and then apply this plastic. I replace every year. My carpet looks brand new. I even took one of those chair roller hard plastic pads that you lay on carpet and cut to fit under our table. I really like it. We camp in all...

    Keeping the dust out?

We travel alot of gravel roads-last week was 25 miles one way. Elkridge was full of dust. When slide is in, I can see daylight at the bottom corner. Is this normal? There is probably a gap of 2 inches. Rig has to go to shop anyway for furnace repair so thought I would have them look at this...

    Rev-a-Shelf install BC3690

I recently purchased these for my house pantry closet, I absolutely love them. 300 bucks to do house. As soon as it warms up, I am going to rv and measuring the pantry. Smallest these go is 11 inches, sure hope they fit! But my question is how do I put a stop on them for traveling. I am...

We used our bed twice and it went flat both times, sent the matteress in and they sent it back saying it had pinch points that was not covered under warrenty. They circled spots, we fixed them, held air in the house for 2 weeks, put it back in camper and used again this weekend, and **** thing...

Adding heating pads to tanks/water lines

We just came home from Elk hunting, Temp got down to 13 above and we had freezing tanks and pipes. We had about a 1/3 of a tank of fresh water freeze and pipes to kitchen sink freeze. Bathroom sink water was fine, hubby had turned valve for winterizing-used hose from a five gallon jug and...

    New Elkridge owner

We have the exact model as you. We bought ours in March of this year. We love ours! We had a few issues right off the bat, but so far so good. Still have the dimples in the floor where the recliner sat, which really irks me, but I guess nothing can be done! We took one recliner out and put...

    Winter camping

I am as we speak---loading our Elkridge for a 10 day elk hunt in Western Montana, this is the first hunting trip with the Elkridge. We alway used our water tanks in our Nash with no problem and temps would get pretty chilly some years. I can recommend putting a little salt down your drains...

    Factory Help, Nice

Something as simple as a missing leg sure goes a long way as far as customer service goes. You will remember that for a long time. And speak highly of Heartland. I think far too often we are remembering the negative and not always the postive.

Quality is still missing at heartland

It is disheartening for sure. From what I have read on this forum, maybe if you call Heartland customer service and get them involved something can be done. If I understand correctly--Dealers are not even checking with heartland or manufacture to check on warrenty issues. You know when we...

What makes a good "Quality" trailer in your opinion?

Quality means to me: It would be nice if the manufacter would stand behind the unit as a whole, not have to go to stove manufacter, fridge manufacter, hot water heater guy, and on and on. When you buy the brand, the brand should stand for quality. When you spend 30 grand for a rv, you do...
