Hinge on "doorside" storage compartment door

Has anybody had to replace one of the "S" type hinges on the compartment doors. One of mine bound-up and has begun tearing the door flange. I can't seem to find the hinges on the open market and don't want to have to replace the entire door. Any suggestions?

    Bike Rack Hitch

Hey Lance, The drawing of the hitch with the 1 1/4" receiver that I received from HL for my Landmark indicates it also bolts onto BH & BC. You may want to check with Heartland Parts and see if it would fit. That way maybe no welding.

Cyberdave - thanks for the info on the Magnuson Act. I was aware of it but forgot about it until you reminded me. Great info to know for future reference.

    Bike Rack Hitch

I think that only applies when you must weld anything to the frame. This hitch bolts to the brackets that are already attached to the frame. Should be no problem there.

    Bike Rack Hitch

When I ordered my new Landmark Mesa, I was not sure I could back it up my sloping driveway without dragging the hitch, so I did not order one. Bad idea! Now I know I can get up the drive with one, but am unsure about where to get one. Has anybody purchased a hitch with a 2" receiver to...

    Rvs for less

4ever, I ordered a new Landmark Mesa from RVs For Less in January 2012. Everyone was extremely professional and detail oriented. My unit was ready to go on my scheduled arrival. I went through the PDI with them which took about two hours. We then were shown where to park my trade-in to move...

    Leaking Shower Drain

BW and I were camping 2 weeks ago and she noticed a "weeping" line of water on the floor by the steps to the bedroom suite. I did some cursery checks behind the kitchen sink and opened the round access cover below the shower controls. I saw nothing. So, we cleaned up the water and I placed a...

Fantastic and regular roof vent covers

The Maxxair vent covers work fine with the manual crank vents. However, I think you need a special vent cover for the Fantastic Vent. I believe they need more clearance. Check w/ an RV supply store like Camping Worls and others to be sure.

AC turns on while control is off

Bryan, try this from another thread: If you have the Dometic Single Zone LCD Thermostat, you may have the Fan set to High or Low, rather than on Auto. Cycle the thermostat from Heat to Fan mode and use the +/- buttons to change the setting to AUTO.

AC turns on while control is off

Bryan, Could it be that what you are interpreting to be the "AC" is really the Heat Pump trying to come on. Not sure if you have that option on yours, but that would be my guess. If you have the HP option, let it come on and see if you may have some warmth coming out of the vents. If you...

    6 point level up Lippert

Jmax65. Mine do the same thing. I have found that if I place sometnig under each jack pad to lessen the amount of jack deployment, the sounds are not as frequent or loud. I'm guessing it may have something to do with the cylinders being extended so much. You may want to try any kind of 2" X...

EVENT: Heartland Chapter Rally: FL, Williston - 3/22/2013 to 3/24/2013

Mickey, Congratulation to you and Bonnie for taking that "big next step". I am envious. We will not be able to attend our first Rally at Williston, but we drove by there the other day, and as you have said many times, the place is GREAT. Lots of support facilities on-site. The new site area...

Looking for a way to take cookers along with us?

I'm not sure how to haul the cookers, but I want to place an order for 1 pulled pork sandwich and 1 chicken dinner. You making me hungry, and that's dangerous.

    Options? Suggestions welcomed

Scorekeeper, You might also want to consider upgrading the main AC unit to a unit with heat pump. Between the electric fireplace and the heat pump, we've survived 28 degree nights without needing the "blow tourch" furnace.

    AC filtering ?

Kwalt - My 2013 Mesa was missing them as well. I had my dealer order them from the factory and they sent them directly to me. I would try your dealer first (if they are close) or Heartland Customer Service at 877-262-8032. Good luck.

    Warping wood trim

    Warping wood trim

Unfortunately, I couldn't get past the guy telling me to bring it to my Dealer for all warranty problems. I would have loved it if I could have at least requested a new one and talked to someone about the chair. Nobody wanted to listen to my plea. I'm not sure what the CS telephone number is...

    Warping wood trim

    Level-up control panel location

Is there any way to locate the Level-Up Control Panel on the street side of the Landmarks. All of the other activity associated with hooking/unhooking is street side, so it makes sense the level-up system should be there too. Many wasted steps around the truck numerous times.

Preventing ODS Cargo Door "crunch" on Key Largo and Rushmore

OOOPS! I was wrong. The Mesa has a larger bedroom slide that totally covers the hatch door. So, no slide corners intersecting the hatch door. Won't work for me. My apologies for the wrong info about the Mesa.

    Warping wood trim

John, Thanks. That does make sense. Since this is a repeat type of problem, am I to assume the factory did not varnish the back side of any of these covers and everybody in a humid location will suffer the same problems? If so, I think the factory needs to know so they can fix this. I will...

    Warping wood trim

My 2013 Mesa has a problem with warping wood trim that serves as the vent cover for the furnace return air plenum. When I went through my initial walk-through at the dealer, I noticed it was warped about 1/4" in the middle. I put it on my "fix list" for the dealer, and they ordered a...

Looking for design ideas on tapered front jack leveling blocks

Hey Jim, Out of the box thinking, but could you just cut a hole(s) in the new driveway for the KL wheels to drop into? Then, build cover(s) for the hole(s) so you can get to the garage with your car or to sled down the driveway? Ha ha!

Level-Up System Zero Setting The Control

I have the "LCI Level-Up with Automatic Leveling" system on my 2013 Landmark. This system consists of 6 hydraulic jacks - no scissor jacks. The manual that Dan attached is for a different type of system. Now the good news! I tried leveling the 5th wheel using the manual mode on the control...

Level-Up System Zero Setting The Control

It makes sense that it should reset both axis, but the Tech said no, and my initial try didn't work. I'm going to try it again today with the rear jacks deployed, and if that doesn't work, I will level it side to side using wheel ramps and try it again. Then I'll test it to make sure it reset...

Level-Up System Zero Setting The Control

6-Point. So when I say 'rear jacks', I am speaking of the two jacks mid-ship and two jacks aft of axles. 'Front' refers to the landing jacks to lift front of unit.

Level-Up System Zero Setting The Control

Well, I thought it would reset "level", meaning all axis. But, I couldn't complete the process. Per the Lippert Tech, if the rear jacks are deployed, it disables the zero reset function. I tried the process with the unit completely leveled w/ both front and rear jacks deployed, and the control...

Level-Up System Zero Setting The Control

On another thread here in the Forum, someone attached the instructions for re-establishiing the 'level' point for the Level-Up System. Since my unit was not level when I used the Auto Level function, I tried the process. It didn't work at all. After fumbling around for a solution, I called...

Leveling Adjustment For Front Landing Gear -Key Largo

MaxOwner - You say that the "wheels are level side to side". What about the floor of the unit. Did you verify the floor inside the door is level using your 4' carpenter's level before disconnecting the truck? Then you say "the front inconsistantly will not level up". I'm not sure what you...

Leveling Adjustment For Front Landing Gear -Key Largo

MaxOwner I think I read where your system is composed of hydraulic jack pads in the front of your unit and "stabalizer" jacks at the rear. If this is correct, then you can ONLY level your unit front-to-rear using the hydraulic jack pads in the front. The rear "stabalizer" jacks are just that -...

Leveling Adjustment For Front Landing Gear -Key Largo

Hey Max. Just a thought. If you see the driver's side front jack deploy before the passenger side, and then both work together to lift the unit off the truck,I would suspect a pressure sensor is allowing the passenger jack to deploy too far before recognizing that it is grounded. Therefore it...
