Re: Tetford toilet issues
Can sympathize with you. Pedal on our 3 yr old Landmark just fell off a few days ago. Plastic crap softened and started to shred. Bought new one for $50 US at local RV store near Cincinnati where we are hold up awaiting better weather in the north-Ontario. Heartland...
During a Landmark factory tour the rep mentioned that they put the cheapest mattress they can find in the units because everyone replaces them anyway. So, everyone can expect the poorest quality and if you want a mattress to last that is comfortable at all expect to replace the one provided...
Agree with you that quality control is seriously lacking. I bought a new Landmark in 2012 and the first year was a nightmare with warranty work on windows and cabinetry. Yes, had leaks as well! We did a factory tour in the fall of 2012 and mentioned the QA issue and suggested that for a Luxury...
Good morning, while this problem I have isn't an urgent matter as it has taken me almost four years to get around to querying you on the subject, I need to know where the switch is for the small courtesy light located under the steps at the entrance to the RV? The unit is a Landmark San Antonio...
Thank you all. I think the Dexter 125 is a good answer. I have Dexter installed hydraulic disc brakes on the Dexter axles so it seems a safe bet. Again thanks for the quick response. I'll finish the job this weekend.
Hello everyone. I hope your summer is going well. Just a short question: I am changing the oil bath bearings on my 2013 San Antonio to grease packed and need to know the torque setting for fastening/ tightening the lug nuts. I get different answers from 125ft/lbs to 140ft/lbs. The trailer is...
Jean and I returned home late Monday evening in a rain storm but managed to get off the road for the night. Lots of water around. We want to echo all the platitudes for Bob and Christine - they did an absolutely fabulous job. This was our first rally since becoming members two years ago and...
Jean and I hope to make this our first rally since joining the Club last year. We have decided that renovating the cottage will be replaced by more fun in 2014. Look forward to meeting other Club members.
Hi Dave,
Yes some things are just going to happen as part of ownership of an RV. Had some issues with the Motor Home I had for five years before getting the San Antonio last summer. However, Heartland needs to make note of the quality control issues especially in the cabinetry where we have had...
Hi Jim,
Thank you for your note. Sorry so late in getting back to you.
Yes I really think that what happened to us ref the San Antonio was out of the ordinary - hopefully!!! The axles were new axles from Dexter that had replaced the factory installed axles because of a new electric over...
We have almost completed our maiden voyage to the lower US from Canada with our new Landmark San Antonio and have, for most part, absolutely enjoyed the living experience. This is our first fifth wheel having traded our motor home for this configuration only last Jun. We have been on the road...
