Re: North Texas Heartland Owners
We orginally had a small group started, but most of us still worked full-time and was unable to perfome as a leader keeping the group together. We need someone to lead the group that can spend the time that it will take to get and keep things moving.
Well Heartland said emphatically NO! Out of warranty, your problem... I went ahead an approved the repairs at Explore USA Denton Texas. They said that "Maybe" it will not take as long as first thought. We will see. If they dont do me right - I will be using a new dealer in the future. And at...
Well we just returned from our first big trip to Nashville, and noticed several things that needed to be repaired. So we took it to the ExploreUSA dealer where we purchased the rig. We discovered that the water heater was leaking a bit and that it was pulling away from the trailer wall...
We now have 4 Rvs in our Monday convoy from the Tom Sawyer RV Park in West Memphis to Nashville! More are welcome!
WHOOHOO! It's gonna be a party! BTW JB, don't you go calling the TN State patrol, tellin on us and to be on the look out.... Cause we will be singing rubber ducky all the way!
I had posted this a while back - but I thought I would update. For the folks traveling from the west; Tom Sawyer RV park in West Memphis is a great gathering spot for the final push into Nashville.

Has anyone considered asking a local RV repair facility to do installation services while we are there - bet they could make a lot of business just on the Lippert items installation...

Ok - how about we all (the folks traveling from the west to arrive Nashville 7/12) meet at the Tom Sawyer RV park in West Memphis on 7/11? That should make an easy drive into Nashville on the 12th. Be kind of cool a big 'ole caravan!
Carrie and I will be there. So let us know if you are...

I have to say that in my experience Heartland will do what is right in the end. It may take a little negotiation, and patience.
We purchased a 2007 Bighorn, which in the first year of ownership was in the shop for warranty work for 9+ of the 12 months. There were many-many problems, but the...
We are taking delivery on the 3370RL this weekend. We also ordered the queen size bed to add room to the bedroom. We have not seen the delivered unit, well not until tomorrow anyway, but we anticipate that the bedroom will have a real bedroom / bath feel now.
Guys find the best deal you can online then just go to any national tire store like Discount tire and they will match - if not beat the price. Sears will do it as well....
I have the 5th Airborne, and I like the improved ride in combination with the airbags I installed (well Cooper Installed). LOL... Of course I have not had any others, so one sided opinion....
I had a 5th Airborne hitch installed on my trailer, and it is very nice. It will take a lot of the chucking and bounicing out of the ride. I also put on air bags and it took even more out. I think it is worth it; you will not get quite as tired as quickly from the bouncing, as well as, less...
htneighbors - Man-O-Man, you mean they haven't boiled you and eaten you for dinner in 12 years! LOL As Cooper said you would be more than welcome to join our group - in this case we could just adopt those Okies!
Looking forward to seeing you all!None
Join The North Texas Chapter!
 Please see attachement and flyer! We are a brand new group - and are seeking the founding membership! We have no clue what we are doing - but Curtis and I want to have lot's of fun - so hurry up and help us figure out how to have that fun! LOL!
I replaced my China Bombs with 4 new GY G614's. Some of you may remember my old post that I had two flats within 250 miles of leaving the dealers lot... LOL. Turns out there was a problem with the axle - and the delivered tires may have been fine - but I went ahead and bought the GY's. Just...
Not sure if this is the right place to post this -but thought I would anyway and see if Jim yells at me - LOL!
We are trying to get a Heartland Owners Group in North Texas. The idea is to start sharing and have some get-togethers. See attachment for more.
My dealer is the largest in Texas - maybe the only one - ExploreUSA. I blame some of this on the dealer - but I paid an awful lot of money for a trailer that has had this many problems in the first 2 months of ownership.
I actually washed it yesterday and found more problems! One I do blame on...
Update - Well I am back from my 5200 mile vacation - in the mountains of SD, UT, WY, AZ, ID. MT...
As you know I had a new cooler installed - had synthetic tranny fluid installed, and spent about 1500 bucks on the tranny and gauges before the trip. Also had told my Ford dealer about a...
Folks - I know this a little off topic - but we did not get the new air bed in our couch.. But we did buy an aero bed and simply put it on top of the traditional couch matteress. It worked great! So for those without the new couch - here is a way to have the best of both worlds.
We have been having a major problem with sewer odors. We finally discovered it was coming from under the kitchen sink. It was stinking up the whole trailer. I could only get rid of it by flushing the tank well... But as soon as we started using the toilet again it would get worse and worse.
Well guys you may rememebr the list of issues from my first trip:
Below you will se a list of things from our first trip, granted one thing is a customer ordered thing, but this is after the dealer had the trailer for 4, yes 4 weeks fixing a long list of PDI items! LOL - DW is not a "happy...
Sorry it took so long.
I got mine from http://catalog.powerstrokeshop.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=MorePartInfo&PartID=418708&siteid=214083&catalogid=3670 for 198.19. Everyone else wanted 250-300. I got the foam sleeve for 25 at...
FORD PSD Upgrade Ar Intake System
Hey everyone - I installed the Ford built Severe Duty Air Intake System this weekend. Took it for a ride, and noticed differences right away. I had measured my Turbo Boost before and after. It appears that I am getting an additional 20% boost.
Also it is...
