SonnyBeech, I did add a 2nd switch. A bought a 2nd small hatch for the switch and installed it to the right of the original switch on my Cyclone (not sure how the front of your Big Horn compares to the Cyclone??). I don’t think one switch could handle the amperage of two motors???
I also...
Sounds like you have the same landing gear as the Cyclone. I upgraded mine by putting a 2nd motor on. I had to replace the original electric motor (not the gears) because I waited to long. The electric motor has a clutch that slips if under to much load….over time they go out. I can also tell...
I own a cyclone but here are my suggestions….assuming we have the same landing gear
The wiring for the landing gear has a fuse near the switch….they are hard to find/locate but this would turn off the landing gear if you pulled the fuse.
You could also put a lock on the switch door….they...
Update:
Well, after cleaning the pump and putting everything back together….the pump stopped working again :( . I guess the pump has a bad pressure sensor. Heartland said they would pay for a new pump and I could install it myself.:)
I was wondering if anyone had problems with their water pump not turning on. Before it stopped working, I also realized it was fluctuating in pressure (after reading about these pumps…they have a variable speed motor and should keep water pressure pretty constant. Our Cyclone has a Shurflo 5.7...
After trying to trouble shoot the front landing jacks, I decided it was time for an upgrade.
As some of the cyclone owners have experienced, the clutch likes to slip on the electronic motor that controls the jack height. Many owners have been able to fix their problem by fixing a loose/broken...
I know this is picky, but here are some of my suggestions for the cyclone 2008 3912.
A wall light switch in the bedroom and toy area would be nice
A curtain or an option to add a curtain between the bedroom and bath/hall.
A drain for the toy area sink
A bag or option to buy a bag for the...
Our cyclone does the same thing….gets really bad when it’s high up or level. Checked all bolts and everything looks good….I’m assuming the weight is to much for the jack.
Jim,
The cyclone electrical box on the back of the pin box where the wiring goes into hit the passenger’s side of the dodge bed.:( Basically the electrical box was damaged and the truck just has some paint missing and a little dent. Looks like I will have to replace the electrical box…think I...
Well, we have a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 DRW 6.7- 4.10 axle and it went to service four times…it’s in service now as I write this. Only two months old. Haven’t pulled our 2008 cyclone because the truck keeps going into service. Has an emission problem (check engine light come on) that they can’t...
