We are using our system for the second year and love it but recently we have been losing the signal from two wheels. The signal is lost then when I remove the sending unit and replace it th esignal comes back and sometimes it comes back on its own. Does this mean I need new batteries in those...

    Generator pops its Circuit breakers

It might be in the auto transfer switch. The switch switches power from shore power to generator. You could have a short if it is wired wrong or you have a defective switch. It is located between the main panel and the gen. with the shore power also entering the switch. It is pretty easy to...

    New diesel question

I didn't mean to be so defensive but a lot of people have very little info. concerning the mfg. of the diesel engine. The test procedures have been developed over many years and have proven that the diesel is ready to run when it leaves the plant. All componets are heat treated and tempered as...

    New diesel question

The brief run in at the factory is not to just catch catastrophic failures! They are checked for oil consumption and fail if the rings don't seat, fuel consumption is checked, power within a certain percentage of advertised power is checked and limited by federal specs, oil, fuel and water temp...

    New diesel question

New engines off of the assembly line (diesel) are brought up to temp. with hot water in a test cell and then put under load within 3-4 minutes with a dyno. They are all run under full load in very short order. All truck engines at Caterpillar are tested this way. Don't baby them, they are made...

    Slipping transmission???

A bad seal could also be the culprit. A small leak past a seal would allow pressure to drop under load which in turn would provide less pressure to hold the discs tight resulting in slipping under load. Just had one rebuilt to the tune of 2600 dollars. They found a non-cleanup in a seal bore...

    Air Bag Suspension

Right, I just didn't explain very well
  22. B

    Air Bag Suspension

The total allowed weight of a dually is reduced from a single wheel by the weight of the additional wheels and tires so in reality the allowed load is reduced. The air bags will shift the weight to the trailer by a small amount by raising the front end of the trailer if the truck is sitting...

    circuit breakers

We leave our gen. in the truck but wired in an auto disconnect at the converter and then ran a wire from the front of the 5th wheel to the generator so we can have power to the unit while traveling so it is nice and cool when we arrive. It also allows you to set the gen. on the ground but a few...

Oil change- when do you do it?

Your manufacturer has the real scoop. Pay attention to the recomendation and go a little sooner (like 10-20percent ). All engines are not the same, even horse power on the same block can change oil degradation rates. Injectors, rings ,pistons, liner or block hone patterns etc. all effect this...
