Interior Maintenance Help - MCD Shades Mounting

I think adding more brackets would be a good plan. I did that but just used screws. I’m not happy with it as I think the same problem will occur again. I’m going on a hunt for some good wall anchors now.

Interior Maintenance Help - MCD Shades Mounting

Re: Interior Maintenance Help Perfect. Thank you. Do you recall how you took the toll out shades out of the wood valance? And reinstalled them? I can’t see how you could screw the unit to the wall with the roll up shades in place.

Interior Maintenance Help - MCD Shades Mounting

All, I had a valance and associated blinds fall off the wall in my 3270RS, above the dining table. Can anyone tell me how the clips work? Do I just pry them apart to get the blinds/shades off, then reinstall the valance, and then push the shades in until they clip? also, any ideas for...

    Hydraulic Question

When checking the fluid level in the Hydraulic reservoir, is it dependent on the position of the jacks? I've looked through the books with the RV, they indicate slides retracted but no mention of the jacks? Also, could someone confirm that they're not independent systems? The jacks and...

    Adding 12v power outlets

Good point. 15a should be enough if every receptacle was used, 10a would cover the smoker. Maybe splitting using a new fuse block would be safest.

    Adding 12v power outlets

I had actually thought about doing that, and then I realized there was still an open terminal in my fuse box. Might be worth doing just considering any additional expansion later on.

    Adding 12v power outlets

Has anyone added any 12v power receptacles to their rig? I notice there’s an empty space on my fuse block, so I imagine I can tap into that for the source. I’m looking to add a pair of 5v/2.1a USB plugs into the drawer located in the steps. I figure this would be handy for charging things like...

    Front Cargo - Locked out

You mean replace the front (below the overhang/kingpin) latch with a latch similar to the ones that access the other compartments, like the pass through basement? That would be a decent amount of cutting. - - - Updated - - - I asked this same question on another forum, they said start with...

    Front Cargo - Locked out

Thanks guys, leaning into it is the norm, this is past that. I'm going to wait a day or two, I'll be back on the road. Maybe I can get it to shift around a bit before I go the nuclear route and drill it out. ;)

    Front Cargo - Locked out

So, I store my mountain bike in the front bin where the batteries are and where the generator would go if installed. It's a tight fit, but with the bike broken down it works pretty well. After the last drive, I think the bike shifted inside and now something appears to be blocking the lock. I...

    Bighorn in the Bighorns

Here's my '16 3270RS off US 16 through the Bighorns this past week. It was pretty dusty from visiting a friend's ranch in Montana...good chunk of gravel road.

    ski storage ideas

I have a set of Yakima ski racks...I like this idea, I actually looked at it before I stuck those rack pieces in storage. I was afraid it would take up too much space, and essentially need to empty the basement to get them open. I also like the idea of just sliding the bag in, at least it...

    ski storage ideas

Thanks for the idea. Yeah, I'm full timing and they'll be with me year around. I'd like to have relatively easy access as I do hope to use them in the winter months. I was in that area the other day looking around, you're right...lots of room...I might have to investigate that idea a little...

    ski storage ideas

Hey all, looking for any smart ideas you all may have about storing two pairs of snow skis. Anyone come up with a good place? I was hoping they might sneak in under my couch, that didn't work. They're also too long for the W/D closet. I think I'm left with the basement, any good ideas on a...

    Progressive EMS

I like this idea. I think I'll open it up and if it looks like this is going to be easier I'll order the parts up. Interesting fact, one of the items you linked to is limited to one purchase per customer...found that odd. I assume you left enough wire and set the ends up correctly that you...

Thanks for the EMS pics! What are the black boxes on the black and red wires on the output side?

    Progressive EMS

Thanks for the schematic Oregon_Camper! Quite a set up! Mine shouldn't be that complex (to start with). I've been away for almost two weeks, and I can't remember if mine is generator prep'd or not...I'll figure it out when I get it and decide for about the location of the EMS then.

    Progressive EMS

Thanks for the info guys! I'm pretty sure I can handle the install, was just looking for a little advice (or maybe some pics). It's my first RV, I guess this is how I'll become familiar with RV systems. What gauge wire did you run from the EMS to the main panel? 6 (I see that in the...

    Big Bighorn Mod Plan

I just started a thread about this item. I'm about to pull the trigger and order it, just a little hesitant about installing it as this is my first RV and my first real experience with RV systems. I've done some residential wiring with home improvement projects. How was the install? Any...

    Progressive EMS

All, I'll be picking up my 2016 3270 on Friday when I return from this work rotation. I'm putting together an Amazon order for stuff to arrive when I get home. I'm about to pull the trigger on the Progressive 50a Hard Wired EMS. I'm all about the insurance and protection it offers. My...

    Introduction - New Rig

Hey Guys! Thanks for the quick feedback. Water regulator and filter are already on the list. I'll very likely do the progressive surge and voltage protection, likely hard wired. My only question at the moment is to do it myself or not. Have you guys done that on your own? I've done...

    Introduction - New Rig

Hi all, I'm new to the forum and just purchased a new to me 2016 Bighorn 3270. I'll pick the RV up on the 9th of June as I'm out of town for work at the moment. I'm looking for suggestions as to what I should look into first. What are some issues that have shown up early on these RVs that I...
