    What's your favorite carry weapon?

I have what may be termed as a dumb question! Since it seems that the overwhelming majority of campgrounds now a days have some sort of prohibition against firearms, am I the only person who flat out refuses to stay in a non 2A considerate campground? I have had to choose not to attend several...

    Triple towing

About half of the lower 48 have some kind of prohibition against 'triple towing.' https://rv-roadtrips.thefuntimesguide.com/triple_towing/ However, most states now permit towing 'doubles.' I recently wanted to tow a trike on a trailer behind my TT and since I was going through Alabama, a state...

Ford or Chevy honest opinion needed.

OK, now you have piqued my curiosity. Details on the 50's era Chevy/GMC please? From the grille, it looks to be a '54/'55? I bet you get a lot of looks when you drive that around! - - - Updated - - - My first mistake with a Ford was with a '69 quarter ton. IF you put even a couple hundred...

    tv mount

Congrats on your TT purchase and welcome to the forum. There are tv securing straps with plastic snap buckles that I mounted on the securing bolts for the mount on either side. It snaps together and holds the TV in place. They are 'Ready America MRV3515 Travel TV Safety Strap' and available at...

Ford or Chevy honest opinion needed.

Actually, a crew cab S-model (MV Model now) with a 290 Cummins and a 13 spd trans is cheaper than a loaded Dodge, Ford or GM. Currently an Eaton 6 spd is standard equipment, so add $1,000 to have the trans upgraded. The #10 shirt button for the fuel return line cost me $0.01 and effectively...

Ford or Chevy honest opinion needed.

Nothing like an International S-model Crew Cab with a 290 Cummins, with a #10 shirt button in the fuel return line, and a 13 spd Eaton trans. 16 MPG, hauling a Trail Runner 302SLE, a Harley trike tagging along, 2 mountain bikes and 2 kayaks on the roof racks. And it was MUCH simpler to...

What did you do to your camper today?

Well, I haven't really done that much to my unit in a while. BUT, I added a cross frame universal receiver hitch to the frame. This addition, along with a 24" extension and a 30 foot four pin wiring kit will allow me to haul my trike without worrying about the states where hauling double...

    Routes overpasses

The only problem with most low clearance GPS/Atlas' is that there are SOME overpasses with lower clearance than when the GPS/Atlas was published. This could be caused by a resurfacing project since the publish date or by some states that intentionally marking all their overpasses a foot low...

    ATF: Trail Runner - Framing Question - 2017 - 302SLE

I would like to add a couple of outside access hatches to the area under the bunkhouse window on the passenger side and a smaller one under the back window of the slide to access under the middle of my U-shaped dinette. Is there a way you could tell me what the stud layout is on these two walls?

Planning June 2019 Trip, seeking others for possible caravan.

Thanks for the unsolicited, unwanted, advise. I have left plenty of time to see what the members of my party want to see. We have all seen the entire South Rim of the GC and have rafted through it. We all wanted to see things from the North Rim, you know the untouristy side. We are taking 3...

Planning June 2019 Trip, seeking others for possible caravan.

I have begun the early planning stages of a trip starting June 13, 2019 in Columbus, Ga. My plan covers 27 days and just over 6,100 miles. As of this moment, I plan 1 night stops in Shreveport, LA and Tucumcari, NM. Followed by 2 nights on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Staying in NPS...

I cant' find the awning and front door light on a T30

I have installed ac units before in older TTs. If you have an existing 14 in vent, you're golden. Be sure to use enough butyl tape. The hardest part for me was getting the new unit onto the roof. The rest is fairly straight forward, especially if the wiring is already there. I'm afraid I can't...

    Specific level

I recently purchased the LevelMate Pro and the installation starts with you leveling your coach as close to perfect as possible. I had to use a car jack and a bottle jack for side to side leveling to perfection. If you have a slide, be sure to level with the slide in the travel position not the...

A home made change that makes a lot of sense!!!

No big deal. Step by step, it's easy. My apologies for the rather lengthy reply. Step 1: Remove everything from the dinette, including cushions, seat OSB and anything else you find in the way. Step 2: Using a hammer and a piece of wood small enough to fit the plywood insert. Knock out the...

What did you do to your camper today?

I finally got the drawer fronts done for the drawers under the dinette. I think the button gives it a nice look and I really like the way the dark bronze clam shell drawer pull looks. I think I did a pretty good job matching the fabric since Heartland would not cooperate and give me any...

What did you do to your camper today?

Just like a house, there is always something that can use attention in an RV! oday, I moved the hanging rods in the wardrobe closets in the front of my Trail Runner 302SLE. I have no idea why the factory mounts these at a height where only my grand-children's clothes will hang without being...

Well Sir, you were wrong about Heartland selling the fabric. They wouldn't even give me the manufacturer or even the style/pattern number. What did you do to your camper today?

Well, the invertor generator hanging on the rear of my TT has gotten a real workout the last few days. I used it to keep the coach cool while I added the drawers and other refinements. Today, I replaced the analog thermostat with a Coleman Digital Thermostat. It will be nice to know exactly...

ATF: Trail Runner - Upholstery Fabric

Good evening. I want to upholster a drawer front for a drawer I added to my dinette. Can you tell me who the manufacturer and the style number for the brown vinyl upholstery in my coach? I know that it is not a very good pic, but maybe you can tell me based on the attachment that shows the...

A home made change that makes a lot of sense!!!

I was camping recently with my little sister. She has a Forest River TT and it had something that I thought was absolutely worthy of adding to my Trail Runner 302SLE. The storage space under the sides of the U-shaped dinette WAS only accessible from above in the Trail Runner. The Forest River...

What did you do to your camper today?

Well, let's see. My sister's Forest River TT has full length drawers under the side benches of her U-shaped dinette. I thought this was a pretty good use of space since it does not require displacing any cushions to access the storage. So to that end, I removed the two plywood panel inserts in...

    What's your favorite carry weapon?

Greetings FoxHotel from RescueDelta9. That was my PJ callsign during my 8 years and 3 tours in Vietnam. I was medically retired in 1972. It's hard to tell, but from the details provided, Welcome Home Brother! Like you, I cannot justify higher cost with superior reliability. In the summer, in...

    Holster Material

I can not speak for other people, but personally I cannot stand IWB CC. I have a bit of belly overhang and IWB is uncomfortable for me. The rear sights always seem to poke me constantly. Therefor I choose to carry OWB almost exclusively with Tagua 4 in 1 leather holsters. The 4 in 1 design...

    What's your favorite carry weapon?

    What's your favorite carry weapon?

I use this ammo in my Mossberg 505 pump and at least on wooden targets it's a wicked round. I keep the tube loaded with two of these and one in the pipe. So that's three of these up front, then the rest of the tube alternates these with slugs. Regards. Rich

    What's your favorite carry weapon?

Only one of those is correct. It is a semi-automatic. However, unless I bring my 25 round drum, which I usually don't, the factory magazine is only 5 rounds. As far as the pistol grip goes, it does not TECHNICALLY have a pistol grip, but a carved wood stock with a thumb pass-through. So states...

    What generator to buy?

I have used the HF 3500 Predator for a couple summers now and have had no issues. What's your favorite carry weapon?

When I travel, which is not as often as I would like, for EDC, I carry either a Remington R1 1911 .45, or a Taurus Millennium PT111 G2, double stack 9mm, or a S&W M&P Shield. single stack 9mm, or a Ruger GP100 .357 revolver. Do I buy a new RAM 2500 or not.

My next new TV, as of right now, will be an International Durastar (S Model) Crew Cab with the 330 (N9) Cummins, the 10 speed Eaton transmission, 4:35 final gears and 22.5 tires. With a 280 in WB, I will have plenty of room for a custom rack for a town vehicle! Just my 2 pennies!

    Showers

I drove semi-truck for a number of years and if you stick to reputable truck stops you are correct. TA's for example or Flying J's. Most will even let couples use the same shower either together or separately. This way maybe your wife would not be so apprehensive.
