cabinet doors swell during winter storage

That's exactly what I did last year, tapped them over, & then in the summer, I tapped them back as I thought the gap was to much. I will probably do it again & leave it alone. I did not think about taking them inside, but that's an neat idea. 10 minutes with my screw gun & I would mark the...

cabinet doors swell during winter storage

Well, I thought this year would be different, 3 Dry-zee airs in our 09-3055 BH. but sadly, no .The doors that touch each other in the kitchen & bedroom swell during the damp winter months. Then they bind. I have to tap the hinges out to fix the problem. The previous 5th's I had used a vertical...

intelli charger- leave charging thru winter?

Hi all, maybe you can help, I have read the manual about our 09 intelli charger, & am wondering if one week per month would be sufficient to keep my batterys charged & in good shape thru the winter. or do you leave it on all the time & let it do its thing. I like how it will work at preserving...

    3612 cover

camping world has them on at about 40 % off, two types , suited for rainy climate or Sun protection as you both want. I live in a rainy climate, & they work well to protect from moisture & black streaking. In the sun, well, use it for a few years, & replace it when needed. It will have done its...

shown how to open slides 1 at a time !

My sales guy was fairly knowledgable, it was the young fellow that was doing the walk thru that did not have a clue. The built-in vac has that cover, I had to figure out when you slide up that cover up a little bit, it activates & you can sweep the dirt into it as well.

Just came back from a 3 week roadtrip, BC ,Alberta, Idaho, & Wash. I had great weather & met great people . My thanks to a fellow Bighorn 3055 owner in Lethbridge for showing me how to choose what slide I want open if needed. I had noticed the 3 control knobs on the hydraulic system, but had...

propane line in my wheel well??

I like the idea of relocating it, would I need some type of gas fitters tape?If its to much hassle, I will buy a metal mud flap & cut that down to size, form it a bit & place it between the tire & the line to enclose it. I hope this gets relocated at the factory level on future rigs.

propane line in my wheel well??

Hello out there, I took my wheels off to be balanced & noticed on the passenger side, front wheel area, a copper propane line enters into the wheel well, then makes a 90 bend up to the stove / oven. The only protection from a rock or blowout is a covering of plastic wire loom. I was surprised...

    Balancing our tires

interesting, I just read it...It was new to me for sure. I have always jacked between the u-bolts, & only taken one wheel per side as the other axle shared the load..and blocked it with a jack stand beside it. What size jack are you using and do both wheels come off at ground the same time...

    Balancing our tires

I was just wondering how many are doing this? I am considering it as I have no way of knowing if I have a wheel that could be damaging a bearing if it is vibrating or shaking at highway speed. I wonder why this is not done at the Heartland end, probably cost, but I think it could be a...

    Rodent Proofing Your Rig

I had a post on this earlier. You may want to check the hole that provides access to the hydraulic slide override , from the storage area. Its about 1.5" in diameter & is lined so the mice can`t hurt themselves! Once the critters are in the storage area, its easy access into the basement & under...

added an extra Window or Skylight

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone has ever added a window or skylight either by themselves, or by a dealer. We really like our 09 3055 Bighorn, but it is much darker than our 04 sprinter. I was thinking a small window by the stove, between the studs, similar to the type in some of the...
