Filled my water tank and drove 2 miles to the Walmart to load up for camping trip. Noticed water leaking out of the belly. Drive back home and cut underbelly because I could see a large square shape in the plastic. The factory sits the water tank between 2 pieces of angle iron with a 3" strap...
We will be travelling down the Oregon coast from July 15 - 31. Just wondering if anyone would care to share any most see places / things. There will be 2 couples and 5 kids under 5. Thanks in advance.
Anyone cross the 49th with their animals? We are heading down to Oregon in July and were wondering if there are any requirements / conditions getting in and out of the States.
Calling all solar experts, I want to run a 400w power inverter charging a 90w computer charger for about 10 hours a day in my truck. Any thoughts on panel sizing or tips. I just want to tie it into factory batteries. Thanks in advance, Neil
Has anyone added a 12 volt cigarette plug into the box of their trucks. I got a 12v cooler for christmas and was thinking about rigging up a plug. Was hoping for a weatherproof type plug. Any ideas?
We travel with a cat (10 years old). It took him some time but now he hates to get left at home. We put litter box under bathroom sink and leave 1 door open and all seems to work out good.
Has anyone else thought of getting rid of standard cord between truck and trailer and getting a coiled one and thoughts or disadvantages of doing this. I thought it would be handy to keep cord from getting buried in all the other "treasure" in the box of truck.
Had a big hail storm go through where we keep our RV. Windows and sidewalls looked good but it broke the vent cover on bathroom fan. Anyone know if you can just change the cover or if I need a new fan. The Fantastic Fan vents held up as did the shower skylight but the A/C has some bent fins now...
Anyone know of any must see places around Montana, Idaho, Wyoming or South/North Dakota. Going on a bike trip and need some scenery. Would prefer mountains/ trees but am open to suggestions. Just looking for any really neat places.
Also any highways that are ripped up or under construction...
Any boondockers have a fresh water transfer tank in pickup box that you haul extra water with. I was thinking of doing this and getting used water pump from dealer and using that to pump into trailers tank. Perhaps 20gal for ease of storage.
I was wondering if the factory had a schematic of the tanks/ drain plumbing for an 06 3600RL. I am looking at adding electric tank pads/ drain heating and am trying to figure out a cost without ripping apart my underbelly. Thanks in advance for what ever you can provide.
Has anyone added or thought of adding holding tank heating/ drain pipe heating pads. If so what did you add and how much did it cost. Also 120v or 12v? The only ones I have seen are the Ultraheats.
I know it has been beat to death but my furnace sucks. If you pull the wood cover off you can feel air coming out of back of furnace. It is bolted down tight but if you run your hand across along the back, towards the middle there is lots of air coming out. Is this right or wrong.
Is there somewhere that we can find out what the icons on the right had side of a post mean. ie: little green square that says distinguished road, reputation etc. Inquiring minds want to know or maybe everyone knows and I'm a little slow.:D
I was wondering if any of the "amatuer" electrical engineers know what the maximum amps you can run through a 10-12' run of 10 gauge braided wire for 12volt.
Has anyone switched out their mechanical thermostat to a digital one? We keep breaking the switches off of ours with it mounted in the hallway and thought a digital one with no switches would be better.
The bowl seal on toilet is leaking again! Anybody have any ideas as to why. The first one leaked after about 4 days of receiving trailer. Replaced with another one that started leaking after 2 days. Everything looks clean and no mineral buildup on flush ball
