    Samsung Surround Unit- PROT

Last season our Samsung HT-C550 DVR/Audio control unit went sideways on us. One day we came home to find the radio, which we had left on, was BLASTING at the highest volume. I know the dogs didn't mess with the controls, so we just quit leaving it on if we were not there. Then the unit started...

Dometic 4 door cooling issues- shut the door

We, like most, have had trouble keeping our Dometic 1350 within proper cooling ranges, especially in warm weather. We had additional baffles and fans added to the exterior, and that helped. But we have determined that we need to vigilantly assess the proper alignment and function of the doors...

    2012 Grand Canyon

Good luck on your choice. We love our GC. This is our 3rd winter in it. We call it our "little house" only because it isn't as big as our stick house, but not because it feels little. Every once in awhile, one of us comments on how happy we are in it. And we really live in it. I cook most of our...

Hard to control temp in 4-door Dometic

We have the fan fix and monitor the ability to have good air flow in our fridge, but found the temp was erratic, especially on warm days in the Valley. Hubby found the left door (with the flap) had loosened and was dragging on the lower plastic hinge, and it wasn't closing tight. It looked and...

ATF: Landmark - RainX on shower doors/shower enclosure

I apply baby oil to a paper towel and apply it to all the interior shower glass... not the fiberglass. It works great. No scum sticks to it, it is cheap and non-chemical. We use a shower spray daily and clean with clorox bathroom spray weekly. No squeegy or towels necessary.

rubber door seal on port (ODS) FALLING APART

We have the same problem on our 2010 Landmark. If you have figured out a fix, we would love to hear about it.

TOTALLY agree with posters who wish the oven was easier to light!

Your feedback is request on offering storage in place of an oven in Landmark

I love them both, but would not want to be without either. A lot of RVers avoid cooking. We eat in and have guests over frequently. More than once a guest to our place has commented that they wish THEY had a REAL oven. If you need more storage in a Grand Canyon, you have too much stuff.

Maintenance for water heater, refer, furnance

The warranty from Dometic on our fridge requires annual inspection. We had a Dometic- certified tech do ours. It seems like a waste since everything seemed to be working fine. Since our rig was built, Dometic changed their preferred venting/fans for our model fridge. The tech had the bulletin on...

    Landmark Grand Canyon-kitchen cabinet re-deux

Love my rig, but the deep cabinet in the kitchen was impossible to get into. The right door was in the way when wou tried to reach into it. Cabinet was DEEP but I could not reach back into it. High area to use for storage, but who wants to stack dishes or food 2 feet high? DH made Mama really...

    Amana Radarange error code

I have a micro/convection oven, Amana model amv6167bd. Last night I set it to preheat in convection mode. It took longer than normal, I thought, to preheat. Then, instead of asking for the cooking time, it displayed error E23. I started over. It heated, but did the same thing. I have looked...

TomTom is the way to GoGo

Not many tunnels between MI and TX, so I can't say I've checked that out. I will and I will let you know.

TomTom is the way to GoGo

I cannot overstate how pleased I am with our new TomTom GPS unit. I bought the XXL540TM from Amazon on an openbox deal. Lifetime traffic and map updates. I was a Garmin user for 4 years, so there was a lot to un-learn and re-learn. I had to reference the owners manual (pdf online) to figure out...

    Fan and TV Booster Conflict

When we turn on the fan in either the bathroom or bedroom, it appears to interfere with the TV reception when using the antennae/booster. Does not occur when we use cable or sattelite. Sometimes it pixilizes the picture, sometimes the reception is completely gone. Any thoughts?

    kitchen counters

I bought a glass cutting board to go on the major work area of my Grand Canyon. After the winter of full use, I have come to accept that the counters will never again have that show-room sheen. I am using the products suggested by Hanex. Beware of the crockpot or any other items with a real...

    Thermostat Way Off

Seriously? I can't believe a "thermostat" mounted on the wall in my RV is communicating a temp from the unit on my roof! No wonder we can't get it right! I also sent email to Bryan in hopes of a resolution.

Counter Damage (scratched) - how to repair?

Happy Thanksgiving! While preparing my contribution for the dinner in our park, I moved my crock pot insert across my counter top several times and now have scratches in my beautiful counter top. The bottom of the crock was rough, though not enough that I thought it would do damage. I keep sharp...

    Audio Surround for TV

We will be wintering in our Landmark GC and I have a question about the Samsung TV/surround system. Whe we are just watching TV (no DVD, etc.) TV audio is all from the TV. Will it be a big deal to hook the TV up so that regular viewing can have the advantage of the surround speakers? Thanks in...

Dish on Demand - Good option?

We are considering Dish on Demand (DOD) for the 5er. We are happy with our cable/Internet setup at the house. We go to RGV for 5 months in the winter, and we have good antenna coverage, but that's it. There are times when we would love to have more options. DOD seems like it might do the trick...

    It's Here!

We just got the call; our new Grand Canyon is at the dealer's location in Grand Rapids, MI. We will have our PDI and closing on Thursday. How exciting! We have looked at every single picture of a Grand Canyon that exists on the internet. ;) Can't wait to look at our own! Praying for good...

    Thermostat?

We visited the factory today and saw OUR new Grand Canyon in production. She'll be finished tomorrow. Very cool! DH and I think we saw a digital thermostat on the wall. (We asked for one when making final agreement with our dealer, and they said it wasn't available... Coleman analog was...
