I am looking at the 3585/3670RL because of the desk.
My wife is concerned about the TV being higher than the desk.
Do any of you owners regret the TV being as high as it is?
I find the Heartland Landmark cherry stain seriously and almost unpleasantly dark but will still order a Grand Canyon in the near future. This is the only reservation I have with these units.
My question to the factory is: can you consider offering optional faux wood blinds in a cream or off...
I am interested in being able to boondock as remotely as possible without going satellite. The 3gstore.com SOHO "Best" kit seems to fit the bill.
1. The amp will have to go in the overhead cabinet in front of the ladder per jpg. Wilson recommends a "well ventilated" area but I guess this...
Honda Triple Fuel Link
It is actually a triple fuel 6KW generator but when would you ever use natural gas?
The link is at: http://www.generatorsales.com/order/HPS6000.asp?page=HPS6000
$1725 with free shipping. Electric start included. Too good to be true??
I have researched Propane/Gas generators (Honda) that seem to be much less costly than the propane Onan option offered by Heartland. You can switch fuel with a simple adjustment. It almost seems to be too good to be true.
This would eliminate the problem of using too much propane because...
Heat Pump/Strip vs Propane
If you were to stay monthly would it be more efficient to heat with a heat pump/strip or run your furnace on propane?
Also, which would be quieter?
I have a single sink in our house and like to do the dishes in it because there is room for the frying pans.
Have you ever wished you had a single sink instead of the double that comes standard with Heartlands?
Has anyone added quick disconnect tubing from the door side propane tank?
My DW refuses to let me cook bacon or sausages in the kitchen so I will have to use a Coleman stove outside connected to the propane tank instead of one pound bottles.
Would also work nice for a Weber Baby Q.
Bike Receiver Is a Must
When we get our GC we will have a receiver for a bike rack one way or another.
Heartland will gain goodwill if they could offer an economical option for a 2" receiver instead of forcing many buyers to go off to a welder and have the work done by a 3rd party.
I heard...
As my wife and I talk about the future Landmark GC we will get she is asking why have an oven and a microwave convection oven?
I think she would rather have a cabinet where the gas oven would go.
The only thing I could think of is that the gas oven would be bigger and maybe you could roast a...
Our Approach
Converting the coat closet looks good.
Our approach will be to order the GC with both hallway wardrobes built with shelving. We don't need any more closet rods than in the bedroom wardrobe.
If that is not enough pantry space I will copy the mod in this thread.
Anyone installed a countertop GE carbon cartridge water filter.
We have one in our house and I want to take it out when we sell and replace the faucet with a soap dispenser and install the filter/faucet in a GC.
I would need to drill a 1-1/2" hole close to the sink.
The faucet is shown in...
Disc Brakes
How did you get the disc brakes?
Landmarks do not have that option.
Did you end up paying for drum brakes and have to toss them for the disc brakes?
Could you post the link to Flair Industries, maker of the Hide-A-Bed you use.
I have tried really hard to get it on Google and Bing without luck.
Thanks,
Steve Prehoda
Filing Cabinet
Jim:
Actually I was thinking about a plastic box that would work with file folder holders.
A filing cabinet is 28" high and if there is that much clearance between the bottom of the desktop and the carpet that would be better and really thrilling.
Could you check?
I am...
Printer Space?
Jim:
I have my eyes on the GC and the large desk.
My thought was to put the printer in the corner of the desk and use sticky pads to keep it from sliding off while traveling. Do you think this would work?
The space under the desk would have a big box on the floor suitable for...
Thrilled to hear
Kevin:
I am thrilled to hear that you are working on the Level-Up option.
This would make the Landmark clearly a better choice than Mobile Suites because MS needs about $15K more truck to tow.
Landmark and Mobile Suites are comparable.
The MS has the Level-Up option.
Any chance that Landmark will add them?
Leveling left/rt with boards gets old.
My wife and I are interested in the Grand Canyon.
I need the desk space for my online classes. Printer and external hard drives.
My wife is concerned about the TV being mounted so high.
Do you get used to looking up at the TV?
