    Goodbye HOC

I am sorry to say that we gave up our 2010 Bighorn 3670RL for a brand new Coachman Brookstone 385FL Diamond Edition (I know, an SOB). Although for the most part we loved our Bighorn, after almost two years of full-timing we determined that we wanted something different (less kitchen, more living...

    Truck for pulling Bighorn 3670RL

Re: Truck for pulling 3670RL Hi Dylan, I have a 2010 3670 that I have pulled with both an f250 short bed and an f350 dually long bed. Both trucks were 2007 4X4 crew cabs. Both also had the 6.0 liter engine. Both trucks pulled the trailer just fine, however I prefer the f350 dually. The primary...

    Dave & Julie's Alaska Adventure

Welcome to Fairbanks! Terri and I have been here since the 8th of May workcamping at Adventures in Alaska, which also owns Chena Marina and RV Park. Glad you made it over the Top of the World Highway ... we drove it last weekend to Dawson and back, just with the truck though. Send me an email...

    Dave & Julie's Alaska Adventure

Dave - We were in Dawson City on 7/2. Drove over from Chicken, AK. I assume you will be taking the Top of the World and Taylor Highways from Dawson to Chicken, and then on to Tok. Word of advice - be very careful. On the US side, both roads are in terrible condition. Both are dirt roads until...

I'm sure for the right price you could talk one of us out of our 2010 3670's so we could upgrade to a Landmark!

    Dave & Julie's Alaska Adventure

Dave - we stayed at the same campground on the way up ... only there was snow on the ground (but no bugs). Get used to the bugs, especially the mosquitoes. With respect to DirecTV .... good luck. None of my fellow work campers here in Fairbanks were able to get there's to work. You need a bigger...

ATF: Bighorn - Dimple crack in Gelcoat

If your unit is still under warranty, I suggest you get it fixed as soon as possible. I had the same thing happen to our unit in the same spot and it got bigger. My unit was NOT under warranty (we purchased it used from a dealer) and it cost me $2,000 to get it fixed. Turns out that a floor...

    Dave & Julie's Alaska Adventure

It is expensive. The cost for us is $5,100, which includes our Bighorn 3670, F350 dually, two dogs and a cabin from Juneau to Bellingham. We figure we will only do it once in our lifetime.

    Dave & Julie's Alaska Adventure

We took the same trip from Sweetgrass to Fairbanks almost two months ago. We crossed into Canada on the 22nd of April and arrived here in Fairbanks on the 8th of May. Worst part of the trip was between Burwash Landing and the Alaska border. Hopefully the road has improved since we came through...

    Wintering in Texas need advice

We stayed at Woody Acres in Fulton last winter and plan on returning this year. It's an older park but well maintained. Last year we paid 375 per month and 15 cents per KWH for electricity. They have a pool, two jacuzzis, exercise room, pool tables and numerous activities going on every week.

    On the Alaska Highway

Thanks for all the recommendations. And good travelling to those who are planning on coming. We arrived in Fort Nelson today. It was a six hour drive from Dawson Creek. Roads are for the most part in good shape. Some rough spots, but no snow or ice. There were two down grades of 9 - 10...

    Onan 5500 LP Generator Problems

John - The furnace needs less pressure to work than the generator. Our furnace worked fine when the it was freezing outside, but the generator would only run for two hours on the full tank. If I switched to the other full tank the same thing happened. During the day when it was warmer, I could...

    Onan 5500 LP Generator Problems

Hi all - finally figured out what the problem was. The dealer replaced the regulator, but that didn't help. What I found after doing a lot of research is that when the temperatures get cold, pressure in the propane tanks drop and don't deliver sufficient fuel to the generator. I have found that...

    Onan 5500 LP Generator Problems

I need help with a peculiar problem. Last night we were dry camping and had the fridge running off propane. Since we wanted to watch TV and run the fireplace, I lit off the generator. It started and seemed to run fine so I switched the fridge to electric. The furnace however would not light...

    Recliner Mod

We also have a BH3670 and weren't happy watching tv from the recliners at the back of the trailer. So we began switching the couch and chairs by using the sliders. However, we still found the chairs difficult to move due to weight and bulk. So we just recently changed the chairs out for Lazy...

    Shower Water Temperture

We have a 2010 BH 3670 which came with a 12 gallon water heater. We have found that one can take a shower without turning the water off at all. I normally run the water heater only on electric, except if we are taking back to back showers, then I turn the gas on too. We can take back to back...

Re: From "wannabe" to "Going-to-be" Bighorn Owner I agree with winter being too long. Our BH 3670 was out for it's maiden voyage in October and it's been sitting in the driveway since. Won't have this problem next winter ... we will be full timing somewhere with no snow!
