We have the 3595RE and don't have the slide awnings. We camp the summer in Colo & winter on the coast of Texas and thought the wind would tear them up. Have friends who have them and they seem to need replacing constantly.
This was on the way home overnight so the tank was still full. We just left the switch outside off and thought we'd just heat the tank with elect and so we had the switch inside on. But no hotwater at all.
Well we've taken a couple trips in our new 3595RE and really enjoy the rig. Theres a few minor things thats wrong that can be repaired, BUT:
Warning.. I would strongly suggest you check the bearings before traveling. We were coming back from Texas on I-35 and had a bearing burn out and almost...
We just returned home from a short 200+ mile trip to check out our new 5th wheel. We love it. Just a couple things to contact the dealer about.
1. No tray in microwave.
2. Bedroom slide out and carpet got wet by the night stand. Of course it poured down rain for a couple days there..
Yep, the wait is over. We went up to pick up our new 3595RE and had the walk through and made it back home.. Sure pulled that BC around to let everyone admire it.. Just kidding, but we are proud of it.
Now we have to wait for a week or two before we can go anywhere in it.
Is there a place on this site to check on the status of our order?
If not, wouldn't it be nice to have such a place to.
We have a BC ordered and not sure when its going to be delivered. Such as not sure if it has been built, delivered etc..
Great site just curious about a few things..
Got word yesterday their not going to have ours built until the 28th.. Bummer. We didn't have any reservations, so we may go ahead but just a little late.
Just heard that our rig is due to be built the week of May 24th. Was hoping to get it sooner as we have a trip planned to the west coast the 1st of June. Going to be close to having it in time.
Fingers crossed. lol
We drag a 34' 5th wheel now that weighs more than the 3595RE that we have ordered. I have a '08one ton Dodge 6.7 diesel dually and don't have any problems getting down the road and over every mountain pass without any problems.
So I would recommend a dodge 1 ton 6.7.. MHO

What I carry depends on where I go.. Out shopping in public, I usually carry a Herstal FN 5.7X28 in a Crossbreed Supertuck holster. Most of the time I just have a Beretta Tomcat .32 in my pocket.
After going to South Texas the last few years, we've decided to try Arizona next Winter. Hopefully around Tucson area. Has anyone stayed there and would like to suggest a nicem and reasonable priced place?
We usually Winter in Rockport area and stay at Woody Acres there and love it...
Kansas is one of the open carry states (theres several that are open carry) but some cities/towns have laws against open carry. To be better safe than sorry in my opinion carry legally CONCEALED..
The state I live in is Kansas and before then I was a resident of Texas. I had a Texas Concealed Carry License for years. But when I moved up here I did research on which permits would get me legal in most states. I know theres probably more, but I got my Kansas CHL & then got a Utah CHL and let...
I sure don't but wish I did.. They gave us a Heartland owners club card but didn't have their name on it.. Thats how we got to your forum.. If their reading this, we were the ones on the row behind you in the sportsmen 3/slide 5th wheel.. Would like to stay in touch with them.
As my wife & I do alot of RV'ing, I have concealed permits in two states so to be legal in 38 of the states. I've had a CHL for years and will not go anywhere without something to protect me & my family..
Hi everyone. Looking forward to reading and learning about everyones experiences..
My wife & I have been rv'ing for several years and live in our 5th wheel approx 8 months of the year. We have just ordered (2 weeks ago) our first 5th wheel by Heartland. We chose the Big Country Model BC...
