New York Routes I -88 & I-86

Traveling across N.Y. to Ohio from Ma. trying to avoid the high tolls. Wondering about the condition of Rtes. I-88 & I-86. Any suggestions on a place to stay in the Salamaca area for the night?

They are redoing parts of 86 now, Its not too bad (but I live in Pa) There are some concrete sections. I did pull the rig over it last year and lived. Boy I hate them tolls too !!!. There are a couple of campgrounds around the Jamestown area but I haven't been to any of them.
