Tip: Air mattress - how to patch on the "fuzzy" side

In case anyone needs to patch their air mattress on the flocking (fuzzy) side, there's an easy way. Get some cotton balls and some acetone-based nail polish remover. Gently rub the nail polish remover on and around the area where you need to put the patch. The flocking comes right off, and you're left with a smooth surface that you can then rough up a bit and patch.

Hope this tip helps someone.

Cheers,
Chris

OH NO....we just put the patch right over the top of the fuzzy stuff....last night. We are going to inflate it tonight. I'll let you know if it works in about an hour.

This is how we fixed the most uncomfortable leaking mattress/couch issue, we removed it from the camper, sold it and replaced it with two very comfortable reclining chairs. We use a blow up air mattress when we have visitors, everyone is happy!

Nope...didn't work! Think we might have to buy another air mattress .....from Walmart this time around. Our couch has nice storage underneath and we have plenty of floor space. Think we should keep the couch and throw out the air mattress the Big County #3500 came with.
