Brand new batteries, freshly charged but Test panel shows "Low",

....lights are yellow/dim on 12v and fridge displays "Low Voltage"...

any ideas?

Batteries are two Marine Deep Cells hooked in parallel, camper is a MPG 185

Thanks!

Check the ground wire to make sure you have a good connection to the trailer frame. Paint under the grounding lug will yield a high resistance to ground.

Hi johmichael,

Are you plugged into shore power? Lights and frig should be ok even if batteries were run down.

If you are plugged in, you may be having a problem with the Power Converter, which charges the batteries and also provides power directly to the fuse box in the coach.

Our owner-written 12V Block Diagram and Diagnostic Guide may help you figure this out. If you have a voltmeter, the diagnostic flowchart will help you check out the 12V system step-by-step.

Hmmm- the ground wire may be the culprit here....ironically, just got home from a 9000 miles summer camping criss-cross country living with the diminished 12 volt power (even with freshly charged batteries), then yesterday while unpacking and unloading camper (unplugged from shire power) lights suddenly went to full bright and fridge low voltage code disappeared! So one would think it is a connection of some kind somewhere, or a component failure somewhere.

Will double check the trailer ground first, then do the diagnostics

Thanks for the input
