2002 Silverado wiring question

Sorry if this is not the forum for this, but I couldn't see a better place to post. I have been trying to figure out just why I can't get 12v on pin #1 of my seven pin connector. I've tested between pin #1 and pin #4, also to the frame, but without any luck. I've also tried it with the truck started and even had the DW put it in gear. Still nada.

I went through all the fuses both in the cab and under the hood and can't find one bad. Any early GM guys out there that have some advice for me? Thx.

I think pin 1 is supposed to be the ground. Here's the diagram from the trailer manual.

Yes Dan, you're right. I'll have to go check again. I must be misinterpreting the diagram on the receptacle.

Have you ever had power there?
Early GM products came without the fuse that protects the 12 volt circuit to your trailer.
It must be installed by the owner.

Yup. I rechecked and have my missing 12v. Diagram I was referencing was viewed from rear reversing the pins.
