Debbie and I will be atending your rally. Arriving on the 2nd and departing on the 6th. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
DW just got off of the phone after making reservations. We've been assigned to site #53. I understand that Orville has last say in assigning sites.
Later and have a great day.

Hey Frank, we’re glad you will rally with us and look forward to seeing you there. Is there a problem with the sight number and do you think you’d Like a different site? If so I will call them and see if they will relocate you. Let me know okay? Thanks Orville

Everything is good with us. People taking reservations just said that sites might get shifted. No deal. Looking forward to seeing you both again.

Frank, the only reason that I would relocate attendees is to accommodate someone with disabilities so they would be close to the walkway to the clubhouse. Otherwise we’ll all be equal rallies. Thanks for mentioning it to me though, Orville

We are brand new Heartland Big Country owners, and newbies to RV'ing, so we're thinking a rally might be just the thing for us to learn a lot! What kinds of activities, learning and otherwise, might we expect at a Rally? Do we need to join a Chapter? Thanks for any info you kindly provide, we are really excited about our RV life ahead

Hi William and Eva,

Not to take anything away from the chapter rally, but you have an opportunity to go to this year's North American rally in Goshen, IN this June. Here's a link to the list of Technical Presentations planned for that rally. And there's an enormous amount of other stuff going on the Goshen rally and pre-rally. You can see the whole list here. Your next opportunity for a North American rally will be 2021.

Hope to see you there.

Rallies are a great way to get started in the rv lifestyle. Everyone there shares your passion for it. The rallies have a meet and greet where people are made aware of the newbies. Great place for questions or repairs if doable on site. Lots of us have lived the problems and know the fixes. It's best to play dumb and let someone else fix it for you.lol The great thing about the rallies is meeting new friends and seeing old ones. By attending the rallies you start to put faces to the names of people you meet on this site.
To join the HOC, it's free. I would suggest you enroll in your home state but you can attend any rally nationwide. Hope to meet you at a rally soon.

Welcome to the Heartland family! Normally you will be assigned a chapter to be a member by the club administration. That doesn’t mean you can’t attend any rallies in other states or chapters. Your membership is free, no dues, and no meetings. You can go to any rally anywhere and you will have lots of fun, meet other like minded people who like the RV lifestyle, whether they are full timers, any timers, or some timers.
What can you expect at a rally, we have tours, sightseeing, seminars, dining out, potluck dinners, outings, rig repairs and much more. Museums tours, winery tours, Shooting Range, table games and much more.
I see you have gotten some responses to your message already but I wanted to add my two cents too. If there is somewhere you would like to travel to, check the events tab and then pick what interests you. Of course we’d love to have you attend our next rally which will be in October at the Choctaw Casino in Durant, Oklahoma. We’re in the planning stages now but we’re considering a winery tour and of course there is the casino action if you’re interested in that.
My wife Barbara and I are in our second full year as volunteer chapter leaders so we enjoy the activities and meeting new members and seeing our other friends too.
If you would like to attend a rally somewhere the only expenses you will have are travel expenses and RV park fees. Just make your reservations and then inform the appropriate chapter leaders so they will expect you. Join the club and when you get your members number, you will be all set, just memorize your numbers.

Thanks everyone, for your input! We would love to attend the National rally at Goshen, but just not possible this year. Gonna try to make plans for Durant though. I'll confirm when I can.
