I am new this year to fifth wheels. I owned a very old Class C Four Winds previously. I cannot find a battery disconnect switch and the battery is encased in a hard plastic box. How can I disconnect the battery in between uses?
You may not have a battery disconnect switch.
If you want to disconnect by removing a cable on the battery be sure to remove the white neutral cable (-),
Many people here have installed a battery disconnect switch aftermarket.
I did this to my Sundance several years ago. Got the heavy cable and switch from the local NAPA auto parts store. Mounted the switch in a deep square electrical box. They called it a battery isolator. Jim
And mounted it on the wooden fascia under the bed, around the corner from the fuse box. I had an old jump box that wouldn't take a charge anymore, so I just used the cables off of it.
