Norcold N611 & N811 Not working on either LP or AC but LP light is on

Good Morning,
We have a 15 Torque 297 with the Norcold (either) N611 or N811 fridge.

We are at roughly 6000f and it was below freezing last night.

Last night and this morning the fridge was working fine on AC. We noticed the light had switched from AC to LP and the light wasn't coming on inside. Our propane is not on.

We cannot even turn the fridge off. No matter what combo we use on the power button the LP (yellow) light is on and steady. (Even turning off all power and disconnecting battery)

We have turned all power off (main breaker) and disconnected shore power.

We have tried to turn on the propane. No propane flow, no flame ignition.

There is power to the plug, the fuse and the board. (tested with OHM meter)

We have successfully played stump the chump and are lost. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Shawna Frinell

Norcold manual says above 5500 ft and below 32, you may have failures. See attached.

You have some symptoms that indicate a failure on the 120V AC side. You also have some symptoms that indicate low or missing 12V DC power. You have one symptom that doesn't make sense - LED on with shore power and battery disconnected - but maybe there's a capacitor providing enough power to illuminate the LED.

There are some fuses on the control board on the back of the refrigerator. One or more might be blown.

You also might have an LP lockout condition caused by several failed ignition attempts. Try lighting a range on the burner to make sure air is purged from the propane lines. Then try recycling the refrigerator.

I have the N611v Norcold. There is a hack on the single button units that I stumbled onto via Youtube. If you hold the button down until the light changes from yellow to green then release as soon as it changes it returns to AC. You can do the same thing to force the unit to go to LP even when hooked to shore power. It's possible that you had a failure due to temp or altitude and in your attempt to restart you forced it to stay on propane. Give it a try to see if you can force change it back to AC
