Nope, you didn't miss anything. The Furnace only runs on one fan speed.
The A/C can run on low or high setting. Keep in mind that some have experienced a freeze up problem with the A/C when it's run on Low Fan setting. Seems at time when the humidity is High, the low fan setting doesn't flow enough air volume to pass through the Coils. The Cold coils then tend to get coated with Ice. It's often suggest that the A/C be run on HIGH for best results.
