Rrloren,
Thanks for the reply... just being on this site makes a person smarter. After I had posted i slowed down and took a good look at the door and saw there is a plastic latch that if you throw, and lift straight up on the door... low and behold it comes right off. re-aligned the back post...
The dear wife left the sliding bedroom door unlatched and when moving the rear glide came undone/off. I am trying to figure out how to take the door off to repair it. Anybody out there help a poor mothers son?
Ok I should know better than run my trailer to the shop before checking in with all of ya'll. Just got a call from the repair facitlity. Seems I did cross the wires when i went to hook up the battery. Blown fuses in the converter and blown fuses behind the radio. Could have fixed it myself...
We would love to come by and see you... but every time i try to book a site at the park, i am told it is full. That and the Sundance is in the shop. Quess we will just have to drive over for the day:)
Guys, thanks for the replys. I had the battery hooked up correctly... now seems that the converter has been fried. Whatever fried the converter has also done a number on the radio and potentially the refrig also. Dropped the unit off at the repair shop yesterday. Now waiting to hear what they...
So I had the battery checked and it had a dead cell. so i bought a new one. the problem is i didnt pay attention to which post is what when i disconnected. Now i have always been told red is positive.. does that hold true in the rv?? I have hooked it up that way but now the radio does not work...
rvn4fun,
thanks for the input. Never thought about the connverter. That makes sense, as does the sewer oder.
I knew i could count on someone from here to set me on the right path.
Thanks again.
I just got back from spending the weekend at our local city park. Yeah, I know couldn't I go farther out? Well the short answer is no. With the wife working this weekend and the 5er sitting in front of the house, it was a "heck lets just go to the city park". So we did. While she worked I...
I can't comment on the ExploreUSA in Sequin but the folks at ExploreUSA in Bourne are excellent. I had the jack leg of my 2900MK break on me in Riudoso NM and I took it into them last week. I just got off the phone with them to check to see where they were on fixing it and they said they were...
On the 8th, my wife and I took off after work to head out to the beautiful mountains in Riudoso New Mexico. At a distance of 641 miles one way, this has been the longest trip we have made in our Sundance. And she pulled like a dream.
Only got about a hundred miles or so down the road before...
I wished I could say you saw me going down the highway:) but unfortunately work keeps getting in the way of our heading out:( Next trip is planned for next month!
So, the wife and I have had our 2900MK Sundance for a couple of months, and have been out a couple of times. Enough to go thru the rig and find a whopping 5 items that we felt needed to be addressed. We had some downtime (AKA Work) so we took the trailer back to ExploreUSA in Bourne Texas where...
The first thing that I wished for as I walked into my 2900MK is that Heartland had put the living room light switch next to the electrical plug on the left by the kitchen island. I know that there is one down at floor level but it is behind the fire extinghisher and I am always fumbling around...
Ray,
Thanks for your reply. That confirms what I have been thinking. And i never thought about the access panel in the basement.
Now that we have our Sundance I hate the thought of winterizing it and not being able to tell my wife, "Hey, lets go someplace this weekend."
Just love being able...
