Garry, did you order the 3500 with the bed delete option so you can put a hauler bed on the truck? I will say I have lots more usable bed space without the big 5th Wheel hitch occupying the bed. The only pain was swapping the standard pin box out for the Reese Goose Box, it weight around 180#...

I have the same model gateway as you have and I am able to run a 20 Amp extension code out to it to keep the batteries topped off and the refer running without any issues, not enough to run the A/C but it keeps the refer cold and batteries charged.
42' = 350/3500 Dually territory !!!, then you have the extra capacity to carry an auxiliary fuel tank and not max out with your pin weight, plus you could always move unto a 450 next year and an MDT the following year

The G614 is not an LT it is an STR (Special Trailer Radial) and the Big Horn should have 7K axles unless you have downgraded them from the factory
I installed the Firestone Ride-Rite on mine, and found that I had a lot more room and it was much easier removing the rear duals and did the complete job in about 4 hours, three hours on the left side and one hour on the right...
