    Our First RV

Yay - another 22FDS owner! We have had ours for two summers, and have more than 5,000 miles with it. We have not done any mods; it's great the way it is. The only thing I cannot figure out is where the water heater by-pass is. If you find it, can you let us know? We love the 22FDS and the...

    Where's the water pump in a 22FDS?

We are getting ready to winterize our 22FDS and we cannot find a couple of important items. Does anyone know where the water pump is? I must have seen it while camping, but now when we need it, we cannot find it. Once we find the pump, will there be a winterizing hose there, or do we need to buy...

    Water pump blows the plug

We got the trailer back, and they just replaced the push-in rubber plug with a screw-in plug on the city water connection. It works, but if the check valve is really broken, I wonder why they didn't replace it?

    Considering North Trail 22FDS

We love our 22FDS, and think the Heartland product is excellent. This is our third travel trailer we've bought in nine years, and it is by far the best quality. We think it is an excellent value. Our only complaint is that the "queen" bed is actually a full-size with the corner cut off, so it is...

    Furnace rattle

Pete and Sharon - you describe exactly what we were hearing. We had a few other warranty issues, so we made an appointment with our local dealer. According to the work order, the dealer had to remove the furnace to fix it, but it does not state what they found or how they fixed it. I'm just glad...

    Water pump blows the plug

We just returned from a week and a half vacation with our 22FDS. LOVED IT! We dry-camped only one night. Unfortunately, we could not make the water system work correctly. We partially filled the fresh water tank (didn't need a lot of water for one night), but when we tried to use the pump, the...

    Furnace rattle

We are currently in the middle of a 2-week family vacation. Because we are having such cool weather here in Colorado, we have used the furnace every morning. The furnace goes on just fine, and produces adequate heat for our little trailer, but about 2 minutes into the cycle, something in the...

    North Trail 22fds

Good luck and most if all, have fun! We are actually on our summer family vacation right now. We visited the Great Sand Dunes NP today and we'll be at Mesa Verde NP in a couple days. Wow, eight people in the trailer would be quite cozy. We eat outside for every meal except breakfast (you're...

    North Trail 22fds

We have spent a soggy Memorial Day weekend at Rocky Mountain National Park (a tradition for us), and I guess the good news is the NT doesn't leak anywhere! We have a few minor issues that I will call our dealer about, but all in all our family loves it. Sunday night we had eight adults in for...

    No Fade control

Stereo model The model we have is a Jensen AWM910. I'm fairly handy, but I will see what the dealer says first. We are going home today and my list of warranty issues is short and thankfully not serious. If the dealer won't do anything about it, I may be back asking about that wiring diagram...

    No Fade control

Perhaps ours is wired incorrectly. On ours, A is left (inside and out left) and B is right and AB is both. We cannot get the outside speakers to go off. We like the Armada so far. We have only had it a month and bought it specifically to tow the NT. It's a 2006 SE with the tow package. My...

    No Fade control

We are getting ready to leave on our shake-down cruise today with our new North Trail. While loading, we noticed right away that the outside speakers are always on. Our stereo unit does not seem to have a Fade control. When we press the AUD button, we only get three choices: BAL, SPK, and VOL...

    Poll: Overall Dealership Experience

RV Wholesalers, Lakeview, OH We purchased our North Trail from RV Wholesalers in Ohio. Our sales rep, Preston, was very knowledgeable, and answered all our questions quickly and honestly. They also mounted our Equalizer hitch and leveled the truck and trailer when we picked it up, something...

    North Trail 22fds

Gremlins!? Bob -- I read your post to my husband, and he just cringed when I got to the part about the 4-inches to spare on each side! That would be too close for his comfort. We are very fortunate to be able to park ours at my in-law's house a mile away, and they have lots of room. It's...

    North Trail 22fds

Our new 22FDS is in the driveway! My DH, with my father along for company, drove 2,500 miles in the last five days to pick it up and bring it home. We have reservations at our favorite Estes Park campground next to Rocky Mountain National Park for Memorial Day. We are so excited. We are very...
