Some of the electric over hydraulic actuators require an add on unit for some model brake controllers. Check website of brand actuator you have to see if it is compatible with your truck.
I installed them and still use my caps. Did require some fab work, but turned out good. I like the air being balanced between the two tires and I air down when not towing and back up when towing.
Have had both. While the SRW truck handled OK, the DRW handles fantastic. No question that the DRW is a safer tv. I believe you will regret downgrading to a SRW.
To be clear bottom line is just that. Includes everything, even taxes. That is the only way to compare cost that matters to me.
I guess my example was a little too simple. Trying to make the point that sometimes buyers get hung up on wrong issue.
And this is the only figure that matters. Makes no difference how the dealer gets to that number.
If dealer A is 10000 for the unit with no charge PDI and Dealer B is 9500 plus 300 for PDI, who has the better deal?
It is weather resistant. I am making a fiberglass shield to keep the worst of road grime off of it. I figured it was better to run electrical to it rather than have 20 feet of brake line if mounted in front of trailer.. Still bumped up to 1/4 inch line to reduce lag time when braking.
