Thanks Dave. I will check that also. I bleached that area just I case it is mold. I'm not sure how rust would seep up and in. How do I get the carpet loose? I don't have one of those kick or knee devices that they use. Could the carpet be wrapped under the sub floor or do they use tack strips?
I think it's rust. It was damp. The paper towel picked up moisture and a rust color. No risen whatsoever on the paper towel. If it were mold it would have something on the towel. Also I have pics underneath that corner. U can see rust through the black wrap. Also they caulked that exact...
It sits pretty level. I have an air hitch so I can adjust when loaded with water and without. I'll double check with a big level on my trip this weekend.
Both axles have an arch didn't have time to jack it up yet to check bearings but it's both rear tires so it's something common. I checked the axles Tire distance was hard to measure but it was even. I measured axle to Axel it look like it was off 16th of an inch so I put the tape measure...
I was checking my tires before my first trip and noticed the following:
Front axle both tires perfect even wear
Rear axle both tires have significant wear on the outside and inside tread.
It looks just like under inflation, but I run 80psi and a monitoring system. My camper is level. I...
Yep. Same problem here also. Unbelievable. I store mine indoors during the winter and mine looks terrible. I'm a 2011 so I'm probably out of luck by now.

Thanks Dan!!!!!!!!!!!! I started researching this topic today and 10 seconds after signing into the site.....here it is. I have developed the same exact issue this year. Yep, same here I was thinking the valve also. This item is on my list to complete before winter storage. I'm off to the...
I just used mine for the "second" time only and there is a hole in it. The patch didn't hold that I attempted. On the bed frame there is a very sharp thin clamp or something for taking the frame apart. The velcro cover slightly moved and allowed the bed to hit the thin metal piece that you would...
Okay. Be sure to post some pics when ur done.
one last thing.....
Due to the placement of the front bars (our battery box and propane lines), it a tad tight working the big screw. Make sure that the pull pin for your landing gear doesn't interfere with the big handle on the steadyfast...
Thanks for the info. I'll check those screws. The cracks or scratches were not in a straight line if I remember correctly. One more month and then I'll do some checking. Thanks.
My kids are at that perfect height when walking or riding bikes to come into contact with the king pin or even the front lip of the box. Yes, a tripod stabilizer would keep the area cleared but I have a different type of stabilizer. That area is where we store the bikes during camping so it's...
One last point....that I never mentioned. I'm going to purchase a Bigfoot leveler system soon or something similar. Paul from steadyfast sent me the longer bars free of charge to prepare for a system like that. I guess that you need longer bars for that type of system.
Great! You will love these bars. Let me know how they work for you. Remember you have to really fine tune the swivels for maximum tightness and still being able to swing your jacks up and down without the swivels binding. This was a step in the instructions.
As for your question.....I...
Has anyone else noticed cracks underneath / bottom of their slide outs? I have two cracks in my main slide. I noticed it prior to the expiration of my warranty and the dealer noted it. Haven't pursued a resolution yet since it's in storage. I'll post pics tonight. Having issues with the one...
On my last unit......SOB. I stored outside no cover. Then I saw that everyone else was putting those covers on. What a great idea, right??? So I purchased one. The wind slap was so bad after that winter that I had to buff / wax it out. The next year I thought that I would be smart and put...
Yep. There is some snow coming. I missed out on a pole barn deal that was so cheap by two hours. Guy beat me to the last spot. That's what I get for waiting too late to find a spot. Next year I think I'll start looking in summer. I'll have to tell the wife next house = house plus pole barn.
When I purchased my 33CK and decided to always store it indoors for the winter. I'm on my second winter storage. Anyone else store indoors for the winter? Do you think it's worth the extra money? I live in Michigan.
I found a great place in Grand Rapids with heat. They told me that I...
Re: Entertainement System
Yep. Mine was the same exact way. All balled up. Doesn't make much sense does it.....
I also had a lot of interferrence in my radio (especially on on am freq) and on my TV. The TV only occurred when the bathroom fan was on. Dealer and HL went back and...
Yep. Mine just quit also. Got home and nothing. One month out of warranty. That's nice. I will assume that these motors have a one year warranty. Yes?
Take care.
Update....better late then never.......
On my first trip it still had a little movement. Two issues found. I use wood in the rear and those yellow squares in the front. Well, those yellow squares flex like you wouldn't believe. Those are gone! Second, I saw a little movement in my foot...
FYI.....I have a Greystone 33CK and the dealer broke one of the snap pins on my landing gear. They were raising the rear of the camper and one of the front pins gave way and bent one of the legs. They replaced that leg and both snap pins. They have "NEVER" had that happen to them ever.
Randall
BigIron,
What model is your Greystone? The reason that I ask is that I'm having the same issue with Grey 1 reading 1/3 after I drain. It's not the sensor since I can drain the rest of the water out using the crown on the street in front of my house and then the meter reads empty. I'm not...
I finally put on my new Steadyfast stabilizers today. Took me about 4.5 hours. I spent a lot of time pre-building everything. With my Greystone 33CK I didn't have many options due to battery box, propane line, and spare tire. I had to install the foot on the passenger side due to the propane...
I'm certain my issue is unrelated so I'll just give you a FYI relating to an electrical issue that I had. My radio (on AM) sounded like a jet engine with the pitch constantly changing. I also had a lot of interference with my TV when using the antenna. In short, after a bunch of remedies and...
They pointed me to the Sundance booklet and said the construction is basically the same. I found a couple of differences, but overall I guess it's sufficient.
I'm going to post a question regarding our unit in a few minutes.
I went out and bought the biggest can that I could fit under the sink. It works for us, but you are correct. They didn't allow for a larger can. I guess the more the cabinet sticks out the less room with the slides in when navigating back or when the couch is pulled out into a bed. I think...
That is one way to avoid paying all that money in fuel. I cancelled my annual trip up to the UP this year. I haven't made a lot of reservations yet either. Usually I don't let the fuel prices bother me, but I've been gun shy all winter with the reservations. I just took my unit in for some...
