If you are planning on traveling and staying at the same campground for a longer period of time then go big, 40 feet plus.
If you plan on traveling from place to place but not staying at the same campground for long then go medium size, 35 to 39 feet.
Do not go small!
Sengli,
I couldn't disagree with you any less.
It is what it is.
But I was talking about Heartland owners putting pressure
on Heartland the manufacturer. Strength in numbers.
I would like to see this forum put more pressure on Heartland. Strength in numbers you see. We are the clients who pay a lot of money for our enjoyment There should be no problems with these rigs. We should be able to enjoy our rigs without any hassles.
I am especially upset the way Mortalis was...
It is time that this forum use their power to get Heartland to own up to their serious and dangerous build quality and start building products that we all can endorse and be proud of.
You need the backing of H.O.F. but for some reason "people" are afraid of Big Manufacturers. We should be getting quality products and we should be a common voice to influence the company to produce a better vehicle. After all the customer is always right. Right?
This forum is good for advice from owners. You can share the same "quality" issues but don't expect this forum to pressure any manufacturer to help us. These manufacturers not being pressured by any group will continue to make "quality" RVs. Yes this is tipycal of the industry. Even if you have...
Useless to post your problems on this forum. The powers that be will eventually shut you down if you complain too much. The forum leaders will protect Dealers and Heartland before the client. Even certain members will defend Heartland befote their fellow RVers. Go figure. Jimtoo gave you the...
"Heartland should contact you and offer to buy back the "lemon". At least give you a lowner n/c for the duration of the repairs."
As far as sending emails or making calls to Heartland......waste of time IMHO. When I discovered a propane leak I removed my stove top. Heartland had ran the flex...

I agree with you Cipwood. Heartland should contact you and offer to buy back the "lemon". At least give you a lowner n/c for the duration of the repairs. There is a degree of responsability that the manufacturer must acknowledge. Your rig should never have left the building in that condition...
We can't wait to see you all! We are arriving come **** or highcovidwater. Also it is a part of Ontario never visited. So excited.
Miss you guys. Happy new year. May it be covid free. Take care.
Can we get together and have an unsponsered rally. Just to keep in touch. Same place. Same when. Same times. Who would b interested?
All take care and be safe,
William and Karen
P.S. Of course all remains in the covid-19 restrictions being lifted.
Hi Mark,
We had a 40 footer and we bought a 35 footer. Like you we wanted shorter. Well we miss that 5 feet. Especially if we are staying for a month or two. Would go back to a 40 footer anyday. But we don't have the money. The only thing is you need a tow vehicle that can stop these trailers. I...
Hi Donna, I am bringing a Marbled Streusal Coffee Cake for the potluck on Saturday. Do we need to bring anything for Friday supper?

Hello everyone,
Just to add a few more details about the card-making class scheduled for Saturday afternoon, if there are enough people interested. We would be making 2 different cards-a "Triple Stamping" card and a stencil card and I am asking for a donation of $5 to pay for the materials...
Hello Donna and Mike,
We are planning to attend the rally this May/June but haven't booked yet. Will do so shortly.
I was wondering if you would like me to offer a card-making class one afternoon in the hall. All people would need to bring would be a pencil, ruler scissors and glue stick. I...
Hi Donnna, just read the latest thread and you can put me down for a dessert-Vanilla Swirl Cake. Looking forward to next week. See you then. Karen & Bill
Hi,
I tow with a 8.1 gas engine by GMC. No problem. My rig is a Bighorn 3270. Have owned the truck for 14 years. But the biggest asset to my truck is the Allison transmission. Will not buy another truck without it.
As they say 10 miles per gallon is costly. However if I had bought the diesel it...
I agree with roadjunkie. Had a similar thing happened and got an independent look at it. Paid for it on the spot-happened while travelling-and when I got back had the dealer look at it. They said that the job was well donned and there was no structural damage. It has been fine since-2 years ago...
Thanks Marc. We will be going through Ohio next year and hope to see you at a rally. Now that our trailer is shorter perhaps we can boondock at your place for a week or two.
Karen
P.S. What makes you think we are STiLL friends. May your children and their children return to the nest soon. William
Your question: is it worth getting a new one compared to the old? Or are the newer ones that much more improved. In our case it was. We went from a 2006 bighorn to a 2016 bighorn. What a difference. Like night and day. Every area was better. But that was the bighorn line. I cannot vouch for...
Hi,
We are wondering if anybody has bought an RV in the U.S. and imported to Canada. What was the experience like.
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks.
Re: EVENT: North American Heartland Rally: IN, Goshen - 6/16/2015 to 6/21/2015
We will be there at the pre-rally and rally. Plus two cats. We reserve our site-#411. See you there.
Hi Bob,
I don't know if you received my note last week about my contribution to the Potluck supper-a large slow cooker full of chili. I had looked at the list and decided a "Main" dish instead of a dessert was needed. I will also be bringing a goat cheese appetizer to the "Camp-petizer" night...
Tabitha was 16. Renal failure was the cause of death. She had camped with us for 16 years. Been across Canada. The Maritimes. New-Orleans, Florida. The East coast from Maine to Key West. Every where we camped she came along. Some may remember her from the rallies in Goshen.
R.I.P.
We have a Big Horn "classic". They are the first Heartland built in 2004 and 2005. We bought ours because of the king bed with a bedside table and you can make the bed on both sides with lots of room. Also we have a walk-in closet. I have never seen these items on any other SOB at the time...
Not a total loss, let this be a lesson for new RV buyers. You are the boss in any transaction. Do not give that up until you are totally satisfied with the purchase.
Unfortunately the dealer won-again. That said, my brother-in-law bought a CUV but saw a SUV that he should had bought. The dealer...
Hi Mea-Dow,
We have bought 3 new units from 3 different companies and 3 different dealers. During the walk-through we pointed out "things" that we considered unacceptable. Each time they said don't worry we will fix that. On our second unit they never got around to fixing "things". Once you...
Re: 2013 North American Rally
Bill and Karen will be there at our usual spot. We will come early and leave later. Our classic BH 3600 will make the trip but I am looking at toy haulers. Looking forward to seeing all our friends.
