Just input, I pulled my cyclone 4000 with a 2015 Chevy 3500 dually, 18000 pounds, pin weight is around 3900#. This past year I pulled it from Florida to Washington State and back about 8k miles. Just stock suspension. The truck rides level and no issues with pulling. I would try pulling it first...
We always stay at Bass lake rv it's in Dillon SC a couple of miles further south. Nice park easy access. Big pull through grass sites, with clean restrooms.
We use passport America

I bought mine in May, so it was an early one. One was to torque the fuel pump lines and the other was for a missing clamp on the power steering hose.

2015 Landmark Newport poor hot water
Here is another thought, I have noticed that if it is really cold outside I can run out of hot water, because the water coming in drops the temp faster.

My 2015 Chevy 3500 has had 2 recalls but I'm still happier with it than the 08 Ford f450 ( splt tranfer case in half, EGR rupture, water pump, bad ball joints) all in the first 60k miles,

Re: Comanion settings on GM DRW
I have a 2015 3500 Chevy my hitch is set at the top, I started out in the second hole down didn't like the clearance so I moved it up. My pin weight is in the high 3k pound range truck set lvl and so does the camper. I pulled a cyclone 4000 about 9k miles this...
Here are picture of my connections. I removed the female quick disconnect to tie into the hard line from the big tank.

I took my regulator off my weber Q200 went to local big box hardware and found the fitting to place a male quick disconnect on the the grill. Placed the female end on a 15' hose from Rv store and the grill works fine. I kept the control value on the grill. When I'm at my home base I use the same...

The way you described your test is exactly how my dealer did it and found a leaking joint which he fixed prior to my PDI.

I looked in the safe the bricks aren't marked but I did find a box of 50 that was marked at $2.25. The brick are CCI Blazer and I know I paid less than 20 a box. Midway has them advertised at $20.99 but they are out of stock. They are 40 grain LR.

The vibration may go away with the new tires because they haven't cup yet. You might want the to get the ball joint while the are changing the tires.

I have had two fords a 2000 f350 and a 2008 f450 both had problems around the 60k mile mark with tires. Both time it was the ball joints. Those had the non greaseable type joints. I'm not sure what the 2012 has. Just as a note if you replace them I tried the moog joints and didn't like them the...
John it was a nice park all the services worked great, the staff was really friendly. They were still working on the sites along the river that had damage. But that should be done by now. The Lions club do a pancake breakfast on Saturday mornings. Location was the big thing for me at the time I...
Scotty it's hard to say on my favorite, Riverside in Loveland Co, Grizzly in West Yellowstone, North Whidbey Island in WA and Willamette Wine Country Rv in OR are my top 4. The wife has taken hundreds she has a private Facebook for family that see post them on and write a little history of the...
Sorry haven't been on a lot, been busy traveling. Here is the latest. Traded the Ford for a Chevy in May 7000 miles of towing with the 3500 no issues. I really love the exhaust brake. We made it to Washington State in early July and did our Alaska cruise the first of August. We are in northern...
I just traded for a 2015 Chevy 3500 DRW got a good deal in Florida, traded an 08 f450 that had started to develop some major problems. Really happy went from 7 mpg pulling the cyclone to almost 11 mpg with the Chevy and 19 mpg empty up from 11.
I can't figure out how to change the title but, here is how I fixed the Ford. I picked it up Friday and have 700 miles on so we can continue our trip starting tomorrow. I got the hitch and aux tank installed today. It's getting 17 mpg empty up from 11 on the 450 hope I see about 11 mpg towing...
On the way to pick up new TV, 2015 3500 DW I'm taking the companion out of the ford and was wondering were people have the ears on the companion set. Mine are on the second from the top on the F450 but he side rails on the Chevy are higher.
Thanks
Re: Ford vs. Dodge . . .
This wasn't meant to start a which is better I know everyone has a favorite and brand loyalty, like I said I like my ford and have put a lot of money into the mods to tow with it. I am just over it and the third trip to 2 different dealers giving me it's fixed and you...
Re: New tow rig:update
Ok here is the latest, 25 miles back to the campground lost a gallon and a half of coolant. Back to the dealer gave me some story about water pump leaking into the block. I told him to get fixed so I could drive it to the dodge dealer for a new 3500 dully. I'm over fords...
Re: New tow rig:update
Thank I looked into doing the EGR delete but I live in an inspection state plus I am worried about the warrenty company not covering something if I delete the EGR and have a problem.
Re: New tow rig:update
Just talked to the dealer, the EGR cooler ruptured an has to be replaced. They couldn't find any damage with the motor so we should be back on the road Thursday. Decided we will hang on to the truck for awhile i like the way it pulls the cyclone. I may upgrade to a 2015...
Thanks for the feed back I am looking at options, if I had my choice I think I have seen it post before it would be a ford chassis with the cummins engine and th allison trans lol
I agree just don't know if they would have helped in this case. I had then on my 2000 f350!but never pulled heavy with it we were flat land in Florida and the boost was normal. I thinking new dodge 3500 dually but which ever way I go I'm adding the edge before I head west into the mountains.
I didn't have anything to monitor the temp other than the factory installed gauges, they were all normal until things went south then the temp light on the odometer readout came on for a couple of seconds and went out. I haven't decided if I'm going to trade it as soon as they fix it are not...

Just over 60k miles,I bought it 2 years ago with 42k, this is the same truck that blew the transfer case in half last August.
the dealer thinks it was an EGR cooler leak. The only symptom was a turbo spooled up just before the white smoke came out of the tail pipe. Engine rpm didn't go up...
I have to check my phone for pics of the hook up, they used a 5th wheel plate on the lift. I don't think I have any close ups but will post what I have later.
I have an extended warranty, the tow truck driver said they could have towed both if they lifted the ford, your right the kelderman won't transfer. We would still had to drop the truck and re hook to get in the campground. I am looking at trading but can't do anything until I get the ford fixed...
The wife and I are 3 weeks in to a cross country trip. Coming across Florida on I 10 the 450 decided it was tired and want a break so the motor quit. Still waiting on the answer to what went wrong, they have to tear it apart to fix it since the motor is locked up. We called AAA for a tow for it...
