Update
As of this last Friday, Lippert authorized the dealer 1 hour of labor to open up the front of our BH and take pictures of any broken welds they can find. I have not called Heartland yet because of not having any new information. Would like to know what they find and what Lippert says...
Tony,
I did ask Bob for a name and number of someone "up the chain" in an email and got no reply. That was a week or more ago... If anyone has a contact name I would appreciate the help. Trailer went to the shop last night.
Sorry for not getting back to you guys for a few days.
No deal with Heartland. Bob in service said no thanks, don't even bring it here because we don't do that kind of repair anyway! I then called Lippert and talked with Philip. After giving him the seral number he said they already had a...
I see your points. No explanation on "what else" it could be. Say I do take it to Heartland and have them fix it. What kind of warranty do they provide on there shop work? I read through the posts on this thread and looks like it's not a sure thing that it would get fixed even after serval...
danemayer Re: Pinbox Frame Flex (Again) in So. Ca.
Randy,
Once the warranty expires, any work paid for by Lippert or Heartland is usually a marketing accommodation in the interest of customer satisfaction. There are a few examples of such accommodations going past...
Update
After calling on Friday and again yesterday, I got an email from Bob this morning stating that both Heartland and Lippert declined to address the flex issue on our 3670. Can't say I'm surprised, but I'm sure disappointed that this is the way its going to go. Its a game of "hot potato"...
Update
Bob has the pictures and has sent them up the chain, so now we are waiting. I also took some measurements and without moving the trailer just setting it down on the truck and picking it back up I have 5/8 of an inch flex and ripples in the sidewalls on both sides.
Randy
I called Heartland customer service this morning and talked with Bob this time. After discussing the facts that its a 9 year old trailer and that I'm the second owner he gave me his email so I could send him some pictures that he would forward to Lippert. He didn't sound hopeful, but its a...
A lot of good points made in this thread. What is disappointing to me is that so may rigs of the same model year are having the same issue and yet it appears that Heartland isn't seeing it as a structural design problem or frailer. Ok, so its 8 to 10 years old, so what! It was made to pull...
Hi Doogie ,
We have an older BH 3670 (2009) that has lots of big windows that we love. can't see inside until it's dark outside. Not sure where you are in MN, but there is a BH dealer in Paynesville, just southwest of St Cloud. We have not done any busyness with them, so no help there...
We were using 30 amp shore power when we lost power. Tv, coffee pot, lights and a hairdryer were being used when power went out. Changed out the GFCI thinking that was the problem, but that wasn't it. So put old GFCI back in and pulled out my 50 amp cord ( I have two cords, one set up for...
Another good way to check for leaks would be a spray bottle with soap and water. Works better with the trailer weight on the tire. Spray the tire/wheel and watch for bubbles...
Finished installing the TST TPMS system last night. I had one flow through sensor that wouldn't work. After about an hour of trying to reprogram it and generally messing with the monitor , I read the instructions and figured that maybe I had installed it to tight so I backed it off a little...
TSC! Good idea. I wouldn't think a fuel filter with a check valve would be that hard to track down. Maybe I need to be looking for just a check valve. Forget about a fuel filter.
Well, Have my TST 507 mostly installed. Valve stems on the dully (all 6 ) are either to short or after adding the sensor in a spot no air can be added. Can I get by with extensions or do I need to knock the tires off and change the stems all together?

Obviously I was way out in leftfield about the Hankook's. Da!! They don't make a tire that comes close to filling this requirement! But the good news is I now have 5 new G614's (based on yawl's recommendations) and freshly packed wheel bearings. Now if we have to take any "roadside...

No I left it on. I was talking with my nephew last night. He suggested putting a fuel filter on the vent hose. He has done that on a tank he uses in a farm truck, said it works fine. It's a small clear plastic fuel filter that will only let fuel or air go oneway. Has anyone tried that?
After pulling the line out and making sure it was open it's still not feeding. But, I was at about 1/4 on the internal tank so now I'm thinking that I needed to fill the tank to get it to pull full again.
Mine was working until I put about 16" vent hose on. I also installed two j clamps that run up to the top of the toolbox. I just rapped the hose around and stuck it back into one of the clamps. I think I pinched the vent line because its not feeding. I pulled the line out tonight so see what...
Re: Anyone for Alaska in 2017???
We are 14 days out today. Getting wheel bearings repacked and after reading about the tire issues, new Sialuns or G 614's next week x 5. Staying south of the border crossing at Del Bonita in MT because its less congested, then on to Banff and Jasper. Being...
Good information. Good question about being leave. That sure could cause some problems. Anyone had any experience with Hankook trailer tires? I have Dynapro ATMs on my 08 F350 DRW and wouldn't dream of anything else. The Dynapro HT has a 5 star rating with over 24,000 reviews at...
I got my repairs to the big slide floor done. Put the slide all the way out like the rest. Opened the other three values all the way and everything works as it should. Moved all the slides in and out three or four times to make sure the repair wasn't going to cause any problems. Looks good!
That makes sense that the weight would factor into what moves first. I was working on the living room slide yesterday to fix the dreaded delaminating floor issue and just wanted the big slide to move.
It was a ten minute job to R&R the drain tube. I have a removable panel at the top of the frig also. I would recommend turning the frig off for 30 minutes before you start so the pipes can cool off. Also watch out for the cooling fins on the top, they are real sharp and bad words will come...
I looked through all my paperwork and manuals that I have for my BH 3670 and don't have any information on the hydraulic system for the slides. What controls witch slide moves first? Is it the number of turns the valve is opened? Is there any sequence that should be used?
Any easy way to access the drain or condensation line on the back of the refrigerator? It's 5/8 OD, white corrugated and real brittle. I was cleaning and removed the access panel on the outside of the trailer. The hose should be long enough to hang outside, but it didn't so when I pulled on...
I'm also having delamination issues on my big slide door side. The face of the flooring was left unprotected to the elements. Both ends are going to be repaired. Took some good measurements tonight and heading to a sheet meatal shop tomorrow with drawings of what I want to do to fix it. This...
That vent Dan is referring to isn't part of my dead Apollo microwave. It's for the fan on the range hood. Microwave had a duct setting on top that vented out the front grill. I was planning on getting the new mic to vent the same as the old, but now rethinking that. Any input as to which way...
Even after getting the email address from Dan, it still didn't work. So I called them again and was told to add RVS to the address. That finally got it done.... So the address I ended up with is eastcoastparts@heartlandrvs.com! Talked to Brittany. Sent the email with picture on Tuesday...
