    Heat in garage

EXACTLY! The heater vent is there, but is absolutely useless. No heat gets back there in my 2014 4100 King either.

Upgrading Changing LED Light Strip in Awning

I have the exact same issue with the awning lights. Front set is all but dead. Rear set has multiple LED's out. I just ordered new weatherproof strips from SuperBightLED.com. My plan is to stick them to the side of the RV, just under the awning, so we can have light with the awning open...

2016 Cyclone 4250 Triple AC units

I had our 4100 King rewired so that the LR unit was always powered. The switch now controls whether the BR or Garage units get power. To ME, this setup seems to make more sense than the factory setup of having the Garage unit as the always on unit, with the switch choosing between the LR and...

    2015 Cyclone 3110 - Observations after 2 years

Every time I see a post about the entertainment systems that Heartland uses, my blood boils. Our 2014 4100 King had an MSRP of close to $100k. The entertainment system is not worthy of a doll house, never mind a higher end RV. I went looking on Amazon and found the EXACT complete system...

    Build Quality

Seems like a sad perspective to me. When you lay out the kind of $$$$ we do for these rigs, we should expect more. When we settle, there's nothing to drive improvement. Trying to reach in and tighten one loose connector was an adventure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Build Quality

So, I had a small water leak over the weekend, where the connector to the water pump was not fully tight. Every time I open the panel to access that area, I get sick to my stomach and the bird's nest of tubing, wiring and the fact that it's in total disarray. How in the world can a unit...

    DISH HOPPER - 4100 King

    DISH HOPPER - 4100 King

Hi All, I'm about to contact DISH regarding installation of a HOPPER - Joey system in our '14 4100 King. I know that I'll have to buy the equipment myself in order to sign up for the Pay-As-You-Go plan. I'm more concerned about locating an installer who will then set the whole thing up...

    CUMMINS ONAN 5500 strange problem.

We had a major power failure at out CG this weekend, so I decided to fire up out genny for the first time. Checked the oil to make sure it was there and full. Filled the fuel tank for the first time. Primed the genny. After some initial cranking, it fired up nicely, but as soon as I let...

    3 Seasons door

We love the 3-seasons door. I replaced the plastic inserts with 1/8" Lexan sheets, cut to size and it made a significant difference in the look. We also added a full width curtain rod to block the light as necessary.

2016 Cyclone 4250 Triple AC units

This is also how our '14 4100 King came configured. We didn't like it and had the dealer rewire it. Now our LR AC is always powered and the switch toggles between the garage and bedroom units. The bedroom unit is so loud, that when two units are needed, running the lr/garage units cools...

    ATF: Cyclone - Sound system

We also have a 2014 4100. It's hard to believe the sound system the Heartland installed in this unit at such a high price point. For the heck of it I went and priced out the audio system on Amazon and found the entire setup can be had for UNDER $100. Heartland should be embarrassed. I...

Water Shutoff Valves to Garage Bathroom 4100 King?

Probably not below 20 deg. Once the colder weather sets in we typically close off the garage area. Also, we never did actually use the rear bathroom this entire season. With the furnace on, I'm comfortable the the underbelly is warm enough, so my only concern is in the bath itself. the...

Water Shutoff Valves to Garage Bathroom 4100 King?

Are there valves to shut off the water, only to the rear bath? We have a 2014 4100 King and will be in it for several more weeks. The furnace does not sufficiently keep the garage warm so we want to close off the slider, but are concerned about the plumbing back there.

    Three Season Patio Door Modifications

We thought about that as well, but find that when it's nice enough out, the dogs insist on being out on the deck, so our doors are typically open. We were rarely removing the soft plastic sheets, so felt the full length ones worked better for us. I do suppose we could always just cut them...

    4100 King - Sofa Sections

Hi All, My DW is begging me to remove a couple of the sofa sections in our 4100 (2014), so she can set up a more comfortable seating arrangement for watching TV. Has anyone removed any of the sections (non-reclining sections)? Is everything finished under and behind the sofa, or is it...

Can we live year round in Milwaukee?

We are outside of Boston. We stayed in our 4100 until December 1 last year. I cannot imagine going through the winter in it, without the cold weather package. You'll need a big propane budget and a bigger propane tank! I'd say to forget about it.

ATF: Cyclone - Curtain rail for rear patio door

While you might be able to spend a big chunk of change going through Heartland, we just bought a simple expanding rod with two brackets and some curtains to fit. Be aware they will have to be very long for the back door, when compared to the slider door. I doubt we spent $50 for everything.

    Geo Method

I use lots of water and nothing else. Never had tank odor. I can go 14 days before needing to dump the black tank using normal flushing. I double up the flushes so that the tank is full in about a week. I can't bring myself to agonize so much, over a holding tank for my toilet..........

Almost ready to pull the trigger on a CY4000

Make darn sure to test ALL the plumbing. When we set up our 4100 King I lost count of how many connections I had to tighten up. Water lines, drains, everything was loose and dripping. Crazy to imagine the level of quality that allowed this to be.

Toyhauler: 3 AC Unit system question

We told our dealer that the configuration was ridiculous and he agreed. He rewired the switch for us at no charge so that now we can run the LR all the time and the switch selects between the BR and garage. Makes way more sense IMO.

ATF: Cyclone - AC 3 position switch

The 4100 comes wired with power to the garage AC at all times. The wall switch then allows you to select either the BR or LR unit. We told our dealer that this was a ridiculous configuration and he agreed. He rewired the RV (at no charge!), basically swapping power setup the LR and...
