I called RM 2 days after the "extended rebate" offer date to see if they could slip one more sale through and they declined. Despite my begging :( But he said look for another offer coming up within a couple of months. That was a he L L of a deal...hundred dollars off with a trade in.
If anything changes I'll defiantly let you know if we can go. Work is getting in the way of me having fun!
Are you sure Art will be ok with something else for breakfast besides Rice Krispies??
We're going to have to miss Jackson this year. I got two guys off that week. :(
Hey Kevin, pick me up a couple lbs of bacon from Swingles....love that place!
I went from Unicorn Express tires to the Goodyear G614's. You should have no problem with the clearance and the ride. I find they actually don't heat up as much as the china bombs when on long trips. Oh, and they were made in the USA. (Stamped right on them). Are your china bombs wearing...
I couldn't believe our '08 came w/out any. Had the dealer install one when it was in for something else. Very easy, cheap, quick to-do for the dealer. $30 if I remember right.
I don't think you have anything to worry about Marybeth. Except losing part of your Saturday morning and $61. It is basically three things they do.
1. Visual inspction. I have gauges installed but no chip or programming. Also I added a Pac-brake exhaust brake...no problem.
2. OBD II test...
I've only got the one air conditioner....hope it's up for the task! Add us to the list of attendees. With one pooch and two cats, do you think they will kick us out of there?
Thanks for organizing this event John. You and Lori do a hel-of-a-job!
Some of you may still have these little meat-grabbing-flesh-ripping buggers still on there. Our '08 came with them.
We had one break on us, so that was a good to time to swap 'em out.
When we tried the velcro, they just wouldn't hold. I put these on last year and they are the best thing since sliced bread!

I'm pretty close on the gap between my tires, I can't go any larger on the OD. If I remember correctly the XPS's (235/85R16) are 32" on the OD and the G614's (LT235/85R16) are 30.7". Also with the G614's being a G rated vs E rated for the XPS ribs, I'm leaning towards the Goodyears. I've got...
Re: EVENT: Heartland Chapter Rally: CA, Buellton - 10/15/2010 to 10/17/2010
Well Larry we tried. But I have two guys off already on that Thursday and Friday. So scratch us off the list for this year. We really wanted to go...you guys are gonna have a ball down there. If anything changes in the...
Re: EVENT: Heartland Chapter Rally: CA, Buellton - 10/15/2010 to 10/17/2010
Hi Larry and Debbi, we would like to join y'all for the rally. Barb liked Solvang the last time we were there. I'll check my work calendar next week and get back to you guys.
I've been running the same set of China-bombs" since Nov 07. Got about 7-8K miles on 'em. Sure I don't like 'em but with a TPMS and a watchful eye, I think I'm gonna get my full useful life out of them. BTW they are Unicon Express. (I know, more junk). I just can't spend the $800 to $1000...
It's called the Geo-Method. see this link http://cbruni.googlepages.com/
I tried it once with liquid Calgon...ehh I gues it kinda worked. I'll mess around with it more later.
Man, that looks good! I've done many many deep fried turkeys over the years, and yes it's expensive-$35-40 for the oil. Even though we reuse the oil for about three times. I like the fact that this unit runs on propane.
I called the 800 #, got right through, told him we were the Duryee party and it's a done deal. He said they'll have an area roped off for us. Looking forward to it. Now, who's ready for a mudslide?;).
Excellent, we'll be there! I'll call tomorrow and get-er locked in. Arriving as of now on 3-19 and leaving on the 21st. Looks like a nice park. This will be our first rally, so go easy on us!
My batteries are maint free, so with the charge controller I just park it and forget about it. Now if it were in covered storage that might be a different story. I'd probably leave everything connected and just run the Honda 2000EU maybe once a month. Or just get it out in the sun for a...
I use the Meguiar's Flagship Premium Marine wax also. I couldn't find it anywhere locally. I got it on Amazon for $12....just had to wait a week to get it. It's gonna take three or four evenings to wax this big boy!
Thanks Pat. Yes that answers the question about the temperature rise.
I got a response back from TST and the system is made in China...as you said, but designed in America. Seems like alot of stuff is outsourced. Heck my truck was built in Mexico. It's a well designed TPM system though...
You say if the temperature rises 24% above the set pressure. Did you mean if the pressure rises 24% over the set pressure?....thanks for all the help Pat! Sorry about all the questions....I'm just stingy with my $$$$.
The TST has high pressure alerts as well. According to research on the IRV2 web fourm. Anyway, I haven't put my finger on that info on the TST site....http://www.tsttruck.com/Product_List.html
I just haven't heard of any talk here on the Heartland site about this TPMS. A lot of people like it...
I've been shopping around for a TMS and was wondering what do you guys think about this system? It monitors pressure and temperature. The batteries last 5-7 years.

For $299 it's a better buy than the Pressure Pro HD Truck/5th...
I just picked up the West version. I really really like the detail on the roads. They break it down as to northbound, southbound and east and westbound, give percentage grade and even tunnel clearance. Some places I've read say "trailers not advised beyond this point" For instance, HIghways...
My Bighorn didn't have one either. I had a local dealer add one....think it was about $60 parts and labor. They put it by all the other plug-in's and tv amp switch up in the televison cubby. We like to dry camp, so we needed it to charge up the gps/laptop/cel phones.
Wow, I didn't see this post 'til today. The 110w panel keeps them all up to snuff. I wired them all in series. The positive from the control panel goes to the pos of the 1st gp27, then jumpers to the pos of the next gp27 then to the 1st 8D, then to the last 8D. Then the negative from the...
I checked mine earlier this year and I've got about 3/4" clearence. Not much. I've been looking at upgrading my Unicorn Express tires to the Goodyear G614's and as far as the online demensions go, I can still clear the shocks.
For what it's worth I'm glad I got a 5th wheel when I had to lock up the brakes at about 50mph. The 5ver tracked straight and true behind me when I nearly kissed the guy's bumper in front of me! Also, I've had a TT before and you can keep all that anti-sway bar knuckle-busting...
