Do it yourself. There is no real special coating or protectant they use. It's like buying furniture and they want you to buy their special Scotch Guard protectant. It's just a convenient scam.

Go directly to Sleep Number. I wouldn't give Campers World any money unless it's something small and necessary. A once great place has turned horrible.

I do the same with my Dodge 2500. When I'm not towing I drop the rear pressure to around 45 psi per the door sticker. 80 psi would definitely be too hard.

Re: ATF: Landmark - water filter
As I had said in an earlier post, I removed my filter and housing from inside my sob an use an outside filter only. There were too many issues such as leaks that I didn't want to deal with. Since it's been removed I have had no issues whatsoever. Easier to...
Re: ATF: Landmark - water filter
Jim I believe they are all needed but just wish they could route the water filter so the lines don't run along side or under it.

Re: ATF: Landmark - water filter
That pic of the PEX mess is crazy. How about taking a little more time to dress all that up? On our current sob I immediately removed the water filter and use an outside filter only. Did this to avoid the pia of removing the filter for winterizing and filter...
I have read several rv manufacturers with the ice maker and door water with the residential refrigerator have the same issue. Most folks are removing the white plastic tube for a new braided steel line. Sounds like a great fix.

Stop at the Flying J on I-75 around mile marker 2/3 just before you hit Florida. Florida's fuel goes up real quick once your over the FLGA line. Lots of room to get your rig around. I stopped there numerous times.

From what I'm reading hear there are several current or retired police officers offering up some real good advice. We don't think doom and gloom all day. We just know what to look for and can see problems before the become one. Interestingly when these alfa hotels see us looking, they know too...
A perfect bar or restaurant should be round, no windows and one door in one quarter of the circle. I would feel very comfortable there. Lol

I could not have said that better. Having a CCW (Carry Concealed Weapon) gives one the basic information necessary to carry a firearm. It does not give any tacticle advantage or training. Try sitting with your back to the wall and watch people. Like Lynn 1130 said, don't stare, just watch and...
I opted for the tailgater so I could move it around. My neighbor had a roof mounted and was going crazy because the trees at our CG were always in the way. I have had the same issue but infringe on my neighbors space to grab the HD channels. I would say the selection is like Dodge, Ford or...
When working undercover in Miami back in the 90's, we found most tourist were getting attacked because they looked out of place. Which is why I said, have a plan and move smartly.

Wasp spray is not as good as BEAR spray as it has a much longer spray pattern. But neither are a good idea since you can only get one at a time. The best route is to be on the road after 9am and off the road by 4pm. These people are nocturnal and generally don't get out of bed before the crack...
Have Dish at home and a tailgater in the RV. If I'm correct, Dish is the only provider to support HD on the road. The cost is about $7.00 a month add on to residential service and be suspended from time to time. Tailgater is awesome but seems I may need a chainsaw from time to time as the trees...
Wow..although we have never purchased an rv from CW, we have gone there to look through their inventory. I love listening to their sales pitches and they think we are enamoured with their name. Wrong. I have heard many stories about their services but I have looked at many other service...
There may be five guys but there is not five willing to die for their cause. I have been a police officer for over thirty years and it's never the ones you can see that get you. It's the one you don't. You must be aware of your surroundings before during and after you stop anywhere. These thugs...
That's the plan Jay. Rvsforless has about the best prices around.once the house sells it's about six weeks from then. And yes. We plan on traveling to see our kids. Just not a whole lot of good campgrounds in neither Virginia. May have to park and ride a few miles. But grandson is worth the...
Good point. I have been reading about the Mor Ryde Is and disk brakes. Looks like an option to go with as soon as possible. I'm all about a better ride.

Well we hope to be owning one soon so perhaps we can add the pros and cons to this at that time. Thanks for the response. We look forward to being in the Heartland community. And I can't wait till my second retirement. Whew.

I hear you. But the DW loves the Newport floor plan and you know what that means right. Personally the Ashland is more my style but...
Looking a few issues with the Newport one being the lack of a cover on the control panel. Seems like an easy fix for me though. One big issue so far is the...
Interesting about the loading specs for the Newport. Guess I will have to keep and eye on the DW and keep her from loading the world of stuff. Keeps the crap down too.
Thanks Dave. I was telling the DW that of all the different manufacturers Heartland would have the better customer service. So far from reading through the forums, it looks as if this would be the right call.
Thanks for the tip.

The DW and I are also looking at the Landmark Newport. Love the higher end finishings the 3rd a/c. We would prefer the carpet be deleted and run the vinyl floor all the way up to and behind the rear sofa. Let me know if anyone has done this.
We are also in the process of selling our house. Boys are in the service and the house is really too darn big. We also are looking at the LM365 Newport. The DW loves the front bathroom floor plan. If you hear of any pros or cons, let me know. Chuck
