I've debated doing that being as how I'll need to change out the bushing shortly anyway. I have about 16k miles on my 2016 Bighorn 3270 to date, and the suspension is showing a fair bit of wear. My concern though is that the existing hangers look to be marginally designed to begin with, and I'm...
I agree, it went up about 600lbs when I changed out the pin box. I can't think of anything else that's different that should have added that much weight up front so I'm hoping if I get the front trailer tires carrying more of the load it will also result in a lighter pin.
my weights show a axle balance issue due to being 3 inches nose high when hooked up:
pin: 3680
Front axle: 4920
Rear axle: 6400
assorted stuff in bay for 2 months on road to include tire chains tools etc.

fresh water full
heavier Reese 5th airborne pin box

Mine was the steel version of the ball mount. The hitch was torqued with weight of the trailer on the hitch as per the later Andersen instructions. The instructions that came with the hitch only had you torquing when initially installing the hitch, not with the trailer weight on the hitch...
I had to bypass the valve and just run on tanks earlier this summer until I could get a replacement cartridge for mine. It was bypassing bad enough I had pressure issues and the pump running continuously. It happened when I switched from tank fill to normal. I called Anderson up, and they were...
I had to replace the pin box on my Bighorn 3270RS bighorn due to damage, and went with a reese fifth airborne, which unfortunately results in the nose of my trailer now being high. With my previous configuration, the nose of the trailer measured at the pin location was approximately 1 inch...
Actually The hitch failed the way you would expect with a hard pull or heavy braking. When I was trying to figure out why my steel version would sometimes “pop” when pulling out of the softer soil where I stowed it I rode on the side step to watch and was surprised by how much bed deflection I...
My Bighorn 3270 weighed in around 14500 with a pi weight generally around 3400 when I was using my Andersen. It destroyed the pin box within 7000 miles or so. Andersen wouldn’t do anything about it other than say some pin boxes aren’t strong enough for the pin adapter and deform like that. They...
