    Pop Out Supports

Just my 2 cents...I have a bumper pull with an overly large slide with two dogs and two kids. All of which have no care in the world how they tromp around. I recently picked up a used set of slide stabilizers. They make the world of a difference. When my kids are jumping around in the...

I would be interested in seeing everything in there. I am also curious about how much extra hose is in my TT. What you pulled out seems ridiculous.

I second the Purogene method. I used it on the trailer and water dispenser as well. Big difference, no more green slime! I have pics to prove it.

    Banff, Alberta, Canada and parking?

Thanks for the ideas and links guys. I did a days worth of searching and research and google maps satellite viewing and found a place in Lake Louise. Lake Louise Inn has a pretty big parking lot and they said I could park on the street if they are too busy. Can't wait for the road trip! This...

    Winter camping

I have a 32DBSS and have been all the way down to 10* at night during last years hunting trip. Then it would warm up into the 40*s during the day. My 30# bottle would last about 4 days. My issue was my batteries. Running the furnace at night sucks them down, had to run the generator every...

    Normal for frame to bend?

For you guys that say TREE, how do you explain the ladder being untouched/undamaged? Just asking because I noticed it in the pictures, not trying to argue with any of you. And I find it funny that the Heartland guy didn't notice that and cut it out of his picture for the report.

    Onstar wifi

WiFi works great when you have cell signal. Super expensive. Since it works off of cell service, its just as good as using your phone. I used it for a few months back when we didn't have unlimited data through our cell phone carrier. Now that we have unlimited data, paying for the WiFi is...

    Progressive Insurance in Utah

Hello, it is coming that time to renew the insurance...again. I am currently insured through USAA for my vehicles and a local company for home owners, Bear River Mutual. Progressive is used for the TT because USAA farms it out to them as a third party. Well, this is the second year in a row...

General Discussion Thread for RV Water Filter Store

Well, as promised, shocked/sanitized my in home water dispenser. First two pics are gross...this is the point where you feel embarrassed to take them into the store to refill them. The next two pics are after treatment with purogene and citric acid. Worked as advertised! All the ‘green’ is gone...

General Discussion Thread for RV Water Filter Store

Just bought and received 2 quarts of Purogene. Discount, order, and delivery was easy and on time. Package arrived very well packed. I also got some citric acid for an initial 'shock'. Not only do I have my TT but my family uses reusable 5 gallon jugs of water in the house. Both of my jugs...

    North Trail buyer review

To the OP, I experienced most of what you did as well withmy 2018 28DBSS. The foam, although apain and a mess, understandable and easy to clean up. The dump handle, I was lazy and just kepttightening the one that kept coming loose until it finally fell off. Then when I got the new one, I went...

North Trail 33 RETS VS GD Reflection 315

I have a NT 28DBSS Caliber Edition 2018 and had it down to 10* overnight no problems. Living area heat was perfect, ran often but at least not constantly. Water never froze but was very cold. I was sold on the 2 inch side walls. As far as long periods 0-15*, if it doesn't warm up during the...

    North trail heating

I went hunting for 11 days last fall in my 2018 28DBSS. 2x30# propane tanks, each lasted 96 hours (4 days)almost on the dot. Kept the thermostatat 65-70* with outside temps at 10-45*. Water heater left on at all times whether it was propane or electricwhen generator was on. Fridge on...

New Heartland North trail owner. Slide out weight question

I also have a 28DBSS!!! We love it. As far as slide out weight, I cannot help you there. But for the black tank, it should be labeled as waste tank, then grey 1 and 2. The 'waste' and grey 1 are the far forward dumps and grey 2 is the far aft dump. Hope this helps.

Towing with Tanks full or nearly full.

I have also read somewhere that some people prefer to travel with full tanks to lower center of gravity of their rig. Obviously this helps in windy areas/conditions to reduce in sway and/or rollovers. I do a lot of boondocking, so I travel to the site with full fresh and if there isn't a dump...

Potential buyer of a 2018 NORTH TRAIL 31BHDD

I love our 2018 NT 28DBSS Caliber Edition. No complaints so far. Only thing I did was put a larger Fantastic fan and vent cover in the bathroom. I have had it for about 8 months now and had it out on several occasions. What sold me was the larger holding tanks, 2 grey tanks, 2 inch side...

    Propane usage outrageous

Just to clarify, the OP claimed his own propane usage as "outrageous". I am not trying to offend anyone, especially 5er owners and full timers. I one day hope to fulltime myself, just have to get the wife onboard. That is why I am on this forum, to learn from the ones that have real life...

    Propane usage outrageous

Please excuse my lack of experience with 5ers but why would so many people fulltime in a 5er then if they are that un-economical? I did mention size difference in my post, so I am not disagreeing with you there. But, I do have two doors, my furnace has individual flexible ducts to each vent...

    Propane usage outrageous

Your propane usage seems pretty outrageous. I recently went on an 11 day hunting trip in the mountains of Utah with my TT, North Trail Caliber 28DBSS. Although its prolly a lot smaller than your 5er, I had colder temps. I would see temps in the teens every night. Coldest was 10* with an...

    Late third season camping...

Well, I appreciate everyone’s input. The hunting trip was a bust, ended up hiking in the woods with a rifle for 11 days. Saw a bunch of animals, just not the right ones. Saw a lot of Utah’s beautiful high Uinta Mountains. As for the camper...that thing did amazing!!! First night there it got...

    Late third season camping...

So another question...instead of stuffing insulation in my outside shower, what if I blew out the lines to the shower to winterize that section of the system? Would they stay empty as long as I don't use the fixture? Or would the lines fill back up when using the other fixtures (sinks, toilet...

    Late third season camping...

    Late third season camping...

So the hunting trip is a go and of course it already snowed up in the mountains of northern Utah. I will be camping in my 2018 North Trail 28BHSS Caliber at about 8500 feet in elevation. Lately the weather folks are saying the snow line is all the way down to 7000 feet but there is a web cam...

Sorry this thread is a little old, but I have a question. For those of you that take your rig to truck washes...Is this alright? I see Blue Beacon is mostly a hand wash, but aren't there drive through power washes? And would one be alright on the RV? Asking because I really want to take care...

    Vent with AC running?

Hello friends. My family usually boondocks at higher elevations so we almost never run the AC. This Summer we have a little vacation planned at a KOA with full hookups and it will most likely be hot during the day. So when/if we run the AC do we open a roof vent or window? Or since it...

Hey guys, just wanted to give you an update. Not doing the actual signing until next Friday but our new TT finally got to the dealer and I got to see it and it's MSRP.
