Ok, I’m going to be of little help. Went out to the trailer yesterday and decided to unplug it from my 30 amp plugin and try the guage, what do you know, it worked. Plugged it back in and it still worked. So, I have a functioning gauge...for now.

We absolutely love the trailer! It is a great layout for the wife and our two daughters, plenty of space, it tows great and lots of storage. We've had a few minor things but I have taken care of them as the closest Heartland dealer is over 150 miles away.

We we ended up getting ours at Holman Motors in Batavia, OH. Good dealership to work with and the price was awesome. We had it shipped to SD using Uship.

I recommend any of the GoPower set ups as that may be what your Mallard is set up for. I have the 120W GoPower unit and if you were just keeping up with normal usage, not a residential fridge, I think you'll be be fine.

A bit pricey, however could be the right price if a guy screws up putting in a fan cutting a hole in the side of the trailer. :p

Second that!! We have a RW 425 and that back bathroom REALLY needs a fan. My problem is there is a cabinet along the outside wall. Would love to know if others have found a solution.

We live in Buffalo, WY. Awesome little town with a couple of great RV parks and a great stop over town with a great little downtown with lots of history. We just purchased a 2017 RW 425 with the residential fridge and purchased a GoPower 120 watt solar system and I'm very pleased with it. I watched my fridge temps with a gauge and shut it down at night. I was completely powered up most of the time. I have three deep cell batteries as well.

Spent 4 days boondocking and I could not be more impressed with this little set up. We were fairly conscious of opening the fridge and because of the circumstances of the trip didn't have the fridge very full at all (which should help keep it colder) and shut it down at night. The solar power...

So I added a third deep cell battery to the mix. I had a newer one from my old trailer, I topped off the water and charged it and wired it in. We will be leaving for a four day boondocking trip next week so I'll let you all know how everything performs.
