    Help with gauge wiring...

Ok, I’m going to be of little help. Went out to the trailer yesterday and decided to unplug it from my 30 amp plugin and try the guage, what do you know, it worked. Plugged it back in and it still worked. So, I have a functioning gauge...for now.

    Help with gauge wiring...

Im currently ina similar situation as my guage is faulty as well. Looked through a bunch of posts and it appears as though that white wire is pretty common, may be for lighting the gauge so not needed? I plan on tearing into my panel tomorrow and will keep you apprised of my progress. I suspect...

Need educating on 6 volt batteries

Thanks for all the replies folks. My solar panel does a pretty good job charging the current set up. I do have 3 12v batteries hooked up, but I have no idea the size and I'm pretty sure they are cheapies. So the idea of going with larger/better 12v batteries is an option. I'm really not...

Need educating on 6 volt batteries

Greetings all, I have a 2017 RW 425 with a residential fridge that is giving me heartburn every time we boondock. So, I have a couple of 12v batteries and a GoPower solar panel and if I'm careful about opening and closing fridge we do ok. I'm considering a couple of 6 volt batteries but have...

    Ford OEM hitch or B&W

Greetings all, I have a new Ford F-350 but it did not come with the gooseneck prep package. I'm looking at the OEM hitch with the puck system, however, they are on back order and no idea when they will have one. The closest one I found was in CO, however, it will be over $800 to get it all...

    Prospective RW owner

We absolutely love the trailer! It is a great layout for the wife and our two daughters, plenty of space, it tows great and lots of storage. We've had a few minor things but I have taken care of them as the closest Heartland dealer is over 150 miles away.

We we ended up getting ours at Holman Motors in Batavia, OH. Good dealership to work with and the price was awesome. We had it shipped to SD using Uship.

Wow!! Lucky you were going slow and nice to see Anderson step up. Gives me something to think about that’s for sure.

    Another late Christmas present

I would be curious to know as well. The Anderson hitch I purchased is the older steel model and it seems pretty beefy, but it still doesn’t look as strong as the B&W, but they say it is so... - - - Updated - - - Agreed on the drilling part! I put cab lights and added a hitch to my previous...

    Another late Christmas present

Thanks fellas, now I need to decide if I’m going to use by B&W Companion hitch or I purchased an Anderson’s hitch this fall. Didn’t notice too big a difference with my last truck, but this new one will didn’t come with the 5th wheel prep so I’m trying to decide what to go with. Thoughts with...

    Another late Christmas present

Just sealed the deal on this 2017 F-350. I have always owned Ram trucks, but I will say this truck has a spectacular ride! Sorry for the rinky-dink pics, didn't want to deal with Photobucket today. This is what it will be towing:

Difference between Cyclone and Road Warrior

They are of course, made in the same factory and I do believe there might be a few more "bling" options on the Cyclone over the Road Warrior. That being said, I'm a pretty picky guy and I absolutely love our new Road Warrior 425. The layout is perfect for us and the quality and features are...

    Solar Panels

I recommend any of the GoPower set ups as that may be what your Mallard is set up for. I have the 120W GoPower unit and if you were just keeping up with normal usage, not a residential fridge, I think you'll be be fine.

    Adding wall exhaust to bathroom

A bit pricey, however could be the right price if a guy screws up putting in a fan cutting a hole in the side of the trailer. :p

    Adding wall exhaust to bathroom

Second that!! We have a RW 425 and that back bathroom REALLY needs a fan. My problem is there is a cabinet along the outside wall. Would love to know if others have found a solution.

New York to Rapid City, Devils Tower, Cody, Yellowstone, Colorado Springs, Santa Fe, then on to our winter RV resor

We live in Buffalo, WY. Awesome little town with a couple of great RV parks and a great stop over town with a great little downtown with lots of history. If you're headed to Cody from here there is a pretty large pass to navigate but very good road. Several 8 degree sections but if you gear down...

    Last minte questions

We just purchased a 2017 RW 425 with the residential fridge and purchased a GoPower 120 watt solar system and I'm very pleased with it. I watched my fridge temps with a gauge and shut it down at night. I was completely powered up most of the time. I have three deep cell batteries as well.

    GoPower Reivew

Spent 4 days boondocking and I could not be more impressed with this little set up. We were fairly conscious of opening the fridge and because of the circumstances of the trip didn't have the fridge very full at all (which should help keep it colder) and shut it down at night. The solar power...

    GoPower Reivew

So I added a third deep cell battery to the mix. I had a newer one from my old trailer, I topped off the water and charged it and wired it in. We will be leaving for a four day boondocking trip next week so I'll let you all know how everything performs.

    GoPower Reivew

Not sure on the amp hours on the batteries. They're a no-name cheap deep cycle batteries. I like the idea of checking my amps and I might be able to barrow one and check it. On another note, the fridge has run all day and when I left I had 90% on my batteries and the inside temp of the fridge...

    GoPower Reivew

Well, I left the fridge off for about 6 hours today. Nothing in there but some bottled water and fruit that really doesn't need refrigerated. The temp in the fridge with no one opening it was around 47 degrees so about 7-8 degrees warmer than were it should be. The batteries showed 90% but I'm...

    GoPower Reivew

We recently purchased a RW 425 that we absolutely love! The only drawback at the time of purchase was the residential fridge, I liked the space however, as we boondock a fair amount I have been stressing about how to keep the batteries powered up without running the Generator non-stop. I've...

    Leaking black water valve

Thanks for the replies fellas, sure do appreciate it. I'm thinking about the other gate and just putting a bead of silicone around it and calling it good. That way I don't have all the mess. I keep thinking I have issues with this trailer but one by one things are working them selves out. Thanks...

    Leaking black water valve

We have a 2017 Road Warrior 425 and I suspect we have a leaking valve on both dump locations. Every time I pull the cap off, I have about a half gallon of water built up against the cap (which sucks when dumping I might add). Lately I opened and closed the valves several times to see if that...

Residential Refridgerator-- How Do They Work?

^^^Thanks for the tip. What I'm thinking about doing is buying one and seeing if it works. Not sure what their return policy is or if I can work with one of their dealers, they might let me take it for a day or so and see if I can manage. We'll see and I'll be sure to post up my findings.

Residential Refridgerator-- How Do They Work?

Glad you chimed in Oregon. How would I go about checking the output of the converter? I did shut off the inverter while the Gen was running, not sure if that matters or not, but I thought having the Gen power the refer while charging I thought was best. I did check with Go Power and they were...

Residential Refridgerator-- How Do They Work?

I'm very curious as well how you did this. I went boondocking this weekend with our new rig and the residential fridge and ran the generator for 3+ hours a day and barely kept up with it and temps weren't that hot. I have a bank of 2 12 volt, deep cell batteries that are brand new and they...

    Loving our new RW.

As far as the awning mounts I didn't see anything on the trailer. There were some holes in the railing but nothing to secure them down with. I just figured I'd get some straight cotter pins to secure it to the railing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Loving our new RW.

Not a silly notion at all, as I've checked all facets and connections around the pump and water tanks and have not seen a drop of water. The water inlet is set at "normal". The water heater seems to be full as the pressure valve lets out water. If there is a leak it sure is a slow one as it...
