I hear the fuel pump running most of the time while the generator is running. I can't recall hearing this before, but is this normal or do I need to check the fittings again?
Not the best idea but when we go to job and know the supply lines will freeze in the trailer. I use a 50 gallon barrel in the garage and run a hose from it to the winterizing by-pass.
Battery usage
I also use mine for work, whenever possible I will find some place to plug in. in the summer I need it for the AC, winter for the space heater as well as the extra draw. For the other times I bought a 2000EUI Honda for the job as well as charging the rig. It is quite a bit...
Honest answer
Like you I looked at a lot of plans online and thought about it for a few months. We looked at a few competitors that are in town and just wasn't that impressed with what we saw. We work out town often and after a lousy hotel stay we stopped on the way home to check out the...
It was probably the one I got and it was from another unhappy camper. this is what my dealer says
'Bruce,
I now know what you are referring to. From my experience here Heartland has not really admitted to having a design flaw. We have asked on a couple of different customers units, still while...
Who is the regional Service Manager for Utah. I have a couple of unresolved factory issues with my 08 3010 that have never been addressed because of no factory approval. One of them is the water tank tank that won't drain properly. I had an odor in the tank so I chlorinated it 1.5 gallons of...
My wife was reading reading in the AAA magazine that if you left the trailer plugged in all the time it would overcharge and boil the batteries. It also said there were exceptions. Are the Cyclones OK to keep plugged in so the batteries stay charged until use ?
adj. screw
On the front of the pump there are screws, the middle one is the operation and shut-off adjustment screw. I don't think it does anything more than control the shut-off cycling.
Got a reply from shureflo , turned the adj. screw while the flow was to stop the surges, seems to be ok. I'll find out next week when we take it out again.
I put a shutoff just above the valves and it greatly reduced the cold shot. The original pump would increase volume with demand and did not surge but failed after the first year. Shurflo sent me a replacement but this one seems to have a problem. I am hoping shureflo will email me a solution...
does anyone else have water pressure that surges upon startup ( usually 2 or 3 times). It makes it tough to have a comfortable shower if you shut it off after rinsing an area to conserve water. It seems every time time you will a different temp
main water tank bypass
I had it out in freezing temps again and noticed it froze not only the inlet but on the outlet side too. It did warm up enough to thaw and get it drained. the next time put the 50 gal barrel in garage and ran a hose to the bypass. To avoid freezing on the outlet side I...
antifreeze bypass modification
here are some pics on 3010. The 2 shutoff valves are to shutoff water to the outside shower after blowing air through. I thought it would be a good idea when using in winter. The water pump is now at the foot end of bed under the milk crate.
winterize bypass on 3010
 On my 08 3010 they put mine under the bed. In order to get to to it you have to take off the mattress and lift the top hinged part of the base. Look inside towards the storage area at the foot. :mad:I swore a lot, threw a fit and moved the line over to the...
went to the dealer 8/5/08 had them take a look for belly heat and they said it was not heated and offered no solution. I am hoping the factory will help
I have a 08 3010 and there is no heat going to the belly unless it comes straight under the furnace. The water in the supply line from the FW tank freezes when the temp dips below freezing. I read on another thread that the factory repaired this problem under warranty for that customer. Will you...
I took mine back to dealer, it seems the factory had some bad clamps. They replaced it and it works fine now. They also cut an opening on the bottom so I can access the filter and drain oil.
I guess I should have mentioned that it was the supply line from fw tank to the pump that freezes. I thought that the 5ers had heat in the belly. The 3010 TT has no heat vents to the belly and only covered with black corrugated plastic. I wonder if it would do any good because it is not sealed...
I have an 08 3010 that I use year round and when the night temps dip below freezing the supply line freezes but it will unthaw when the temps rise. What can be done to help this? I have come to the conclusion that when temps stay below freezing I will have to have a 50 gal. barrel in the garage...
