Screws holding up the Cloroplast cover

The "screws" indeed turned out to be nails. I'll try finding some a large offset diagonal cutter to do the job. This is what Harbor Freight has online for sale: https://www.harborfreight.com/11-in-long-reach-diagonal-cutters-64086.html

    Screws breaking

I have lag bolts that popped their tops from the cable bracket that fastens to the top front driver's-side of my king slide room. It's the seventh one in the same spot. The first six popped out and causes us to return it to the factory for repair. This seventh is rather upsetting to see...

    Wiring inside of interior walls

I have a 2018 Mallard with the TV/entertainment center as the wall that separates the master bedroom with the living/kitchen area. I'd like to put my technology into the cabinet at the top of that wall, but there's no electricity in it. I theorize that there's some open cavities inside the...

Screws holding up the Cloroplast cover

I've got a 2018 Mallard and need to get the cover off the underbelly, but the heads keep sheering off the screws. I've tried by hand, with an impact drill, and normal drill. None of them unscrew. Instead, the top of the screw just twists until it has twisted off. They are weird looking for...

    Lug nuts/torque

Thanks mlpeloquin. Good thought to loosen, then tighten to the proper ft lbs. And, thanks for confirming the right setting. I'll see if my Harbor Freight torque wrench holds up to the job. Should I loosen all of them first, then tighten? ... I know to use the star pattern, of course...

    Lug nuts/torque

Just to confirm... Is the correct, Heartland-approved torque supposed to be 120-125 foot pounds? And...after getting new tires installed, is it true that the lug nuts should be retightened after 25-50 miles of use?

Canopy/Awning lights -- How to control the LED lights

Update: Problem is solved. It was a piece of electrical tape that mysteriously got wrapped around the sensor head. It's also a bit finicky. The senor head will not perform, if you are not aware of its location and pointing the remote directly at it.

    Hello

Update: I'm no longer having trouble with my awning lights. The light sensor was covered by some electrical tape, which explains why the remote wasn't working. I did in fact have the correct remote, which is odd to me. There are no markings on the remote indicating that it's for the awning.

    Hello

I'm having a problem with my awning lights too. Did anyone do a search for documentation and find the right information for the LEDs that come with the Mallard trailers? Here's a link to my thread where I describe that I can't control the lights. To summarize: I'm not sure if I have the...

Canopy/Awning lights -- How to control the LED lights

My 2018 Mallard IDM33 has LED lights on the roller that unfurls the canopy/awning. The first time I wanted to use the lights, I couldn't get the remote to work. Or, maybe I am mistaken..and the remote that i have is not for my awning lights. I tried looking for information in the awning's...

Electric water heater noise -- hisses. Stops when switched off.

Thanks everyone. So far, I'm tracking three things that it could be... 1. Cold water that's being heated. This certainly makes sense, because our water kettle makes the same sort of noise when we turn it on for coffee in the mornings. 2. Calcium covered heating element. I'm not sure how to...

Electric water heater noise -- hisses. Stops when switched off.

What does it mean when the electric water heater hisses? I have been RVing for about six months (three in my driveway, three on the road). The noise is coming from the area of my pass-through where the water heater is located. And, when I turn the water heater (switch) off, the hissing...
