Reason I ask about the eternabond. I am thinking that an option is to simply work my way around the roof. Remove the top rear trim resecure it with new putty and new caulking; do each side the same; then the front. I've got to believe at this point my problem is actually either the top rear trim...
For now, until I can either solve or have inspected, my wife and I covered with a 40x20 tarp from harbor freight. We secured it with poly rope "sewing" the rope is how my wife described it working under the belly of the northtrail from front to rear like stiching a tent. Just in time, it stormed...
I thought I had the leak cured with diligent caulking. this is because I let a hose run on each rear roof corner for a long time and found no leaking at lower rear external wall behind the bumper. I had removed the plastic that covers the bottom of the rear wall and felt all along the width. All...
Hi friends. Here is what I am finding on our 2010 32QBSS tt. When I open the slide out after a rain there is water on top of the slideout. There is no apparent water issue inside. However I do see that the exterior bottom board is obviously getting wet.
I am wondering if I need to adjust...
We had this same exact issue the first time we towed our 32QBSS travel trailer. I called Heartland while on road and didn't get a lot of satisfaction.
I did an emergency "fix" which I'd read about online. I stuffed some of those 4 ft long pool tubes (look like the 3' long split insulation...
It is possible that the tech rep said that the manual clearly says it is the owner's obligation to inspect every three months and recaulk where needed. he was clear though that they would do nothing, absolutely nothing about a 2010 with a damaged rear wall, that leaking was totally the owner's...
 I have simply (wrongly???) been caulking with dicor OVER the older (original) caulk, except where it is obviously easily scraped away. I never thought of trying to remove old caulk from roof accessories (plumbing vents, skylight, vent covers, antenna, refrigerator vent, etc.). I...
Friends, we had a significant (awesome) hail storm on July 1. Tennis ball size hail. Hail lasted 30min. Rained hard much longer. Been raining hard lately, downpours.
Decided it was time to look closely at roof to see what hail did. A few pock marks but nothing outrageous.
Then, I started...
Thanks for the direction.
Also, I want folks to know, I emailed Heartland concerning the peeling on the rear bumper of our unit. I got a response yesterday by phone -- that is amazing a response in less than two days. They have a plan to take care of us.
Thanks Heartland Customer service...
I can't seem to find the link to start a new post for a new topic.
Can anyone help.
what I'd like to know is what others with the 32QBSS are doing to make making the bed an easier task.
Dear heartland owners, doing a walk around today I discovered looseness and peeling of the "coating" or "film" on the rear fiberglass "bumper area" of our 32QBSS. What is this coating? And what might cause this? Ours is a 2010
"Bumper" may not be the correct term. This is the large lowest body...
Does anyone know if there is a sight that shows the seals on the bottom of the slide. Again, my sweeper seal does not touch the bottom. And it looks like if the slide is adjusted down enough for the seal to touch then side molding and decals will be out of line. I looked and there is not also a...
No that is not what I am saying. The sides seal fine. It is the bottom seal underneath the seal that seals water coming up from the road. That seal I am guessing, should rub against the bottom of the slide but it does not.
Our heartland is a 2010 32QBSS.
Would love to start a new thread on slide out leaking through the bottom sweep when slide closed and driving through rain storm. Mine was never adjusted right from the factory and did not discover this problem until over a year after purchase because we...
Hi all, thanks for all the replies. Just read them this morning. I was thinking that I'd get an email from the forum that I had replies.
I bought a new battery because I took it to Advance they did the load test, then tried to recharge using their 'best' method as they call it -- overnight...
Re: ATF: North Trail - No 12V DC afer installing new battery
I purchased this battery in Feb and it sat disconnected in the covered battery box on the tongue of the Northtrail. My meter showed 11.9 to 12.09 across the terminals. Still this morning, before digging into things any deeper, I took...
I purchased a new battery for 2010 32QBSS this winter. Just hooked it up. No 12v power. Do have shore power. Battery new purchased from Advance, assumed it was fully charged when purchased at Christmas. Has been sitting in battery box, covered but have not had cables hooked to it. It reads 12v...
hey all, we have switched from a 35 River Canyon 5th wheel to 32QBSS trailer. I currently have the 5th wheel plug in receptacle under rear bumper of truck, found receptacle the standard for 5th wheel. I failed to look at the plug on the heartland 32QBSS which is right now in storage at a...
I am towing with a 96 chevy 3500 single rear wheel, xcab, long bed, has tow package with factory heavy duty hitch installed to rear frame.
What is recommended hitch?
Hey all,
My wife and I just purchased the 32QBSS and camped for 1st time this past Sunday, Monday, 1/2 Tues. This is going to be an absolutely wonderful unit. We only wish we had something like this 15 years ago when we took our 3 and foster kids camping in a 23-29ft. class c. We have spent...
