Well, I did it. A lot of cutting and fitting later, but I got two group 24's in. It's a tight squeeze, but doable. Here are some pics:

I have an Edge M19. I was able to squeeze two group 24 batteries in there, but it took a lot of modification to the standard marine battery box. I had to cut the handles on both boxes off, as well as all four battery lead covers and a good part of the lip on the lid. I'll post pics when I can.

Another note about the counters... only use soap and water, along with a SOFT rag to clean them. DO NOT use clorox wipes or any other household chemicals, for that matter. Scratched the living daylights out of mine on our first trip. Hey - at least I don't have to worry about getting the first...
