Extra step on outside/Fresh water tank and pump

I did a little Sunday morning googling, and it looks like they've tucked the water pump behind the water heater in either one of two locations. Under the bed, or under the entertainment center by the slide. Interesting video of some naked edges...

Extra step on outside/Fresh water tank and pump

I would suspect your fresh water tank valve is closed due to the winterizing. Once you find the pump, you'll want to open the valve for the fresh water tank and run all the taps (hot and cold, inside and out) until they run clear. Then and ONLY then un-bypass the hot water heater and let the...

    M-19 Rainwater and winter woes

Thanks for the ideas! I will be re-caulking the hatches, and will look into installing a rain gutter. I like (more importantly, my wife especially likes) the idea of the laminate flooring. Sparkinson - What kind of silicone did you use? I tried some last year after I discovered the leak and it...

    M-19 Rainwater and winter woes

Yep - I do need to do that. I'm just not looking forward to having to do it every year. It only took 1 summer's worth of rain to destroy the caulking. I'm trying to find a way to divert the flow of the runoff so it doesn't run right over the front hatch and chew away the caulking. Or maybe it's...

    M-19 Rainwater and winter woes

Hi all - I have had my M-19 for a couple years now, and last season discovered that rainwater has been rolling off the roof on the sides and, over the course of time, has eroded the caulking around the front pass-through storage doors. Consequently, we woke up to a flood one night. I patched the...

    Additional Battery for M-19

Well, I did it. A lot of cutting and fitting later, but I got two group 24's in. It's a tight squeeze, but doable. Here are some pics:

    Second Battery Solution

I have an Edge M19. I was able to squeeze two group 24 batteries in there, but it took a lot of modification to the standard marine battery box. I had to cut the handles on both boxes off, as well as all four battery lead covers and a good part of the lip on the lid. I'll post pics when I can.

    Edge- New owner: countertop care...etc.

Another note about the counters... only use soap and water, along with a SOFT rag to clean them. DO NOT use clorox wipes or any other household chemicals, for that matter. Scratched the living daylights out of mine on our first trip. Hey - at least I don't have to worry about getting the first...

    Additional Battery for M-19

Heh! I wish I could get 4 6Volts up there! Absolutely no room with the propane tanks right there. Heck - I'd be happy with another group 24! I'll figure something out. I'll post pics if I do.

    Additional Battery for M-19

Ok - here you are. The existing battery box is over as far as it can go. I have tried turning the lid around and re-routing the cables through the side cable inlets, but a second box still won't fit. The tray is long enough, but the indentation in the fiberglass nose cap is not wide enough. (See...

    Shower in M-22

I can't help you on how it operates, but that was one of the main reasons we went with the M-19 and it's full surround tub. I'm sure some M-22 owners will jump in here with their thoughts, though. It is a cool little (light) trailer. Cheers, and hope you find what you're looking for. Colin

    Additional Battery for M-19

All right - here's one for you. I just got my M-19 last week, and with it came one group 24 battery in a box. I want to add a second one. The problem is, on the rail that is right behind the propane tanks, there is not room for two of the battery boxes, and the only double battery boxes I can...

    M19 or M18?

Well, Redfish... I'll let you know as soon as I do. We are still awaiting delivery. The dealer just pulled them off the barge, so maybe tomorrow? I'm a newbie to all this, but I can't imagine it'll be too tough to insulate the tanks. If it gets too cold, we plan on dry camping. Then I'll be...

    New Members from up north

Hello everyone, I'd like to introduce myself and hope this is the appropriate forum to do so. My name is Colin Cornwall, and my wife's name is Catherine. We live in Alaska and are soon-to-be new Heartland owners (we have narrowed our decision down to either the new Edge M19 or M18 and just have...

    M19 or M18?

Hello all, My wife and I are trying to decide between the Edge M19 and Edge M18. Currently, we are strongly leaning towards the 19 for a multitude of reasons. We do not have the luxury of looking at these prior to purchasing (we live in Alaska, and the only dealer up here does not have any in...
