Re: Bighorn problems.
I had the same thing happen to me this spring and it could have been tragic as I have a pacemaker. It ended up being the pedestal. My surgeguard said the power was clean so do NOT rely on that. I took the good advice I got here and bought a tester and it will not happen...
Update on electrical problem. Went and bought the Klein tester yesterday and went back up to the trailer. They plugged me into a different outlet but said the other one tested out fine. Tested the trailer and the skin was not energized. My son is coming up today with some testing equipment and...
Just got an email from the owners and they said the electrician just left and the 30 amp plug was OK. Will go back up on the weekend and check it out and let you know what we find.

I went back up and unplugged my trailer. Owner was not there so I will send him an email. What should I ask him to check on his side before I start at checking my trailer. My son works for hydro(underground cableman) so I will get him to bring up some testing equipment on the weekend and...
Set the trailer up on the weekend and plugged it into the 30 amp at our site. Surge protector did it's thing and delayed while checking power. Finally clicked on and energized the trailer. Every time I touch the aluminum on the slam doors etc I get a shock. What should I be looking at? It's a...
J have a 2011 3185 and the same thing happened to mine closer to the bottom of the stairs but in the same general area. Take it to your dealer and they will go in from underneath and find that there is a trough from the sink to the gray water tank that is not supported. They had to repair mine...
I am a Bighorn fan and owner. I had a 3055 and now have a 2011 3185. I was at the Ottawa , ontario rv show looking at the new models and would like to suggest some changes to the bighorn. I am close to retirement and will be fulltiming in my rig. Checked out some other brands at the show and...
I have a 2011 Bighorn 3185 and all the doors above the bed split open. I am no cabinet maker by any means but I took them down and inspected them and there was no glue in the frame joints at all. They seem to have been press fit or they forgot to glue them. Went and bought 2 clamps and some good...
We had a great time at our 2012 Ontario Rally. The weather held up for us. We had campfires every nite and again the potluck dinner was fabulous. I think a good time was had by all. Thanks to all the regulars and a special thanks to all the newcomers for their support.

Broke a hinge on my screen door. Ground the pin and got it out and went looking for a new hinge. Was told that they can't even order the whole hinge as a replacement. Anybody know where I can get a new screen door hinge?

The site fee is $40.19 per nite tax in for the rally. The $20 fee is for a pizza supper on friday nite and breakfast on sunday morning. It is $10 per person. Looking forward to seeing you. Any donations are always gratefully accepted and appreciated.

Glad to hear that some new members are interested in our 2012 Ontario rally. We have 25 sites booked for now with more available if needed. It is a very nice campground and a great bunch of regulars that attend every year. Our rally is growing every year and we are hoping this will be the...
I had a problem with cable at a campground and they called a cable guy to check things out. Everything on their end checked out ok so he came in and looked at our setup. He tested and then said to turn off the antenna booster and it should work. It did and has been working ever since. Go figure...
My wife just got a VW Jetta diesel and I warned her that if she ever put gas in it to not even start it up. Now I have something else to worry about.:)

Don it sounds like you don't have enough tongue weight on the truck. Load her up and see where it sits and you might have to drop it another set of holes to get the balance right. i know mine can be a little sensitive until I get the air balance right between the truck bags and the Trailair pin...

Has anyone installed a tile backsplash behind the stove in their trailer. I have a 2011 3185 and my wife would like a backsplash. We looked at tile yesterday but the guy helping us said it might crack and fall off because of the movement in the trailer going down the road. Has anyone done it or...

I just got off their site and the RVND 5510 by Rand McNally seems like a great product. It is specially for rv use. Has anyone bought one or heard anything about them?
